Things for Consideration
  • Use original item build with the Life Link ability suggestion.
  • Change numbers for incoming and outgoing damage to focus on the idea of tanking.

    E.g:
    16% of the damage dealt to linked units, is received by you instead.
    12% of the damage dealt to you, is dealt to linked units.

    The reason why having some of the damage going out is to make the item more versatile with latest update - View changelog for more info.

Rather overpowered tank item, don't you think? Any Centaur Warchief could just shield their carry easily. Reduce duration, damage transferred or maximum bond range.

Centaur is already widely ignored. But I guess the amount of damage could be reduced. 40% ?

Nice idea, should tweak the numbers a bit, i would set it at max 35%, i feel it can be really OP the way it is now.

Also, it has 'Teamplay' tag scratched on it, great suggestion

Item name is just nasty, 'Amor' (love) its not the name for an armor, Heroes in dota may fight for love, but they may mostly fight for loyalty, bravery, etc.

Where did that "+200 hp" come from ? I think it's better to replace the stout shield with point/vitality booster since there are 3 items which block dmg already. I really like the active skill.

Very nice idea. However I don't like the hood component. HoD is already overused compared to some items. Maybe include something else. T-Up on idea.

The 200 hp spawn instead of the 6 agility from stout shield.

I can't see why this can't co exist with the current dmg blocking items as it is an upgrade to one of them.
Also it will be needed to block some of the damage gained from life link - if it is possible to make the hero with Ellic's Amor receive the same kind of damage as the original one.

Maybe because it is an awesome item if you ask me. What would you prefer? Because I think this set of items is essential if all damage received was spell damage or what ever type of damage the original hero received.

Yeah. Most of the users of Vanguard often buy Hood, so it makes sense. You must add a recipe, imo. Something like 500 gold since this will save a slot. Vanguard no longer will be sold after the 45 mins mark.

I don't see the point why you would get +2 hp regen, +200 hp and a very good ability for 0 gold.

A lot of items has that kind of improving favors. SnY, Orchid, Treads, Guinsoo, HoD, Blade Mail, shit you name it, etc.

You pay 1500 recipe costs for S&Y.
Combining Orchid only gives +2 int and the ability, Oblivion staff gets +5 damage and +25% mana regen when combined.
Guinsoo gets only +100% mana regen and the ability.
HoD has better magic resistance and hp regen, but looses the armor bonus.
Blade mail bonuses are only minor.

There are items that get some bonuses and items that don't. I wanted to point out that no item gets a major bonus and a powerful ability, IMO +200 hp for free is a major bonus and should be removed from this item, switching agi to hp regen and an ability when combined is enough of a bonus.

I think changing PMS to vitality booster or even Vanguard wouldn't be a bad idea, justifying the hp bonus and making the item more usable throughout the game.
