Default [REMAKE] Urna Swarm


Straight to the point. Change current to this


Carrion Beetle - (Active, Instant)
____________________Anub'arak progenerates Carrion Beetle from a corpse to follow him. Beetles absorb 20% of damage Anub'arak received. Beetles will explode when they dies, dealing damage and silence nearby enemies. Anub'arak can explode a beetle manually.

3108 secondsN/A300 AoEN/AUpto 4 Beetles. 120 damage and 4 second silence in 300 AoE on explosion
4105 secondsN/A300 AoEN/AUpto 5 Beetles. 150 damage and 4 second silence in 300 AoE on explosion

Notes:
  • Beetles are invulnerable and unable to be controlled
  • Each beetle has 100 hp and 2 armor
  • Beetle with least hp will absorb the damage. If all beetle has same hp, the one in the last will absorb it
  • Any positive buff that Anub'arak got will goes to beetles also. Means if Anub'arak becomes invisible, so do the beetles. If Anub'arak uses Phase Boots, beetles get the buff also
  • Gain "Explode" as subskill (has 17/14/11/8 seconds cd)

Go for a constant 3 or 4 second silence at all levels and I'd be fairly happy with it.

Excellent skill: easier to controll, NA won't be so fragile anymore and great for early-game! An obvious t-up! I hope it gets implemented

Isn't 5 seconds silence too much? I think this guy is right:

If you reduce silence's duration, remember to reduce its cooldown as well.

And can we still put this skill on auto-cast?

I'm not sure.. I never really needed much of a defense skill for NA anyway.

Hmm...

UPDATE :
- Silence is now 3 seconds at lv 1-2 and 4 seconds at lv 3-4
- Make the cooldown on explode scales (2 seconds lower at lv 4 than before)
- Give additional notes about beetles

Beside defenses, this remake makes it's easier to control the beetles. And, if you're pro enough, you can use this skill + phase boots to trap enemies.

Since Nerubian Assassin is a squishy bug, he was never fit to be a tank. I always wondered why he was agi: i found out it was because of balance purposes, but still i suggested that he should be str. Now this would make him really balanced, since beetles won't be the FREE WARDS of the game, still maintaining agi status, and a little bit of tankishness finally

it's imbalance. 5 beetles does 150 damage at same time, have 300 AOE, and silence effect.

There's a difference between "very nice" and "fucking gamebreaking". Urna needs a nerf to the number of beetles available so it focuses more on the aggressive aspect and less on the maphack.

t-down. I think it is a bad nerf to NA. no more map-control. no more a alternative source of dmg and disable. which are much better for a ganker-born Nerubian Assassin, compared with a bit tankishness and uncontrollable beetles --> hard to aim for silence

but the idea of the skill is not bad. give it to a new hero.

Few people here don't understand NA at all, map control? NA might need it but micro-ing? Maybe limited to the necro book summons but 8 units?

I think you didn't understand this skill correctly. For 5 beetles exploding at the same time, it would demand an instant 2500 pure damage (or some more magic damage), which is quite impossible. 2500*20/100=500.

Ah, what happens if NA dies? I have two suggestions:
(EDITED using the idea of the post below)
1)Beetles burrow and disappear.
2)Beetles burrow, appear at the fountain and wait until NA is alive again.

Yeah, only if you got 2500 damage as Hero Hunter says. The active explosion has cooldown so it's impossible

Yes, there is no more map control but the bonus damage and silence is still there with greater number, which means better synergies with current skills. The beetles are uncontrollable but it is easier to aim for silence. Since they are always nearby NA and you can control when they can explode without clicking the unit
