About DotA and Patches

Q: I want to install DotA, what do I need?

A: You need to install Warcraft 3: Reign Of Chaos and then Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. After that, you'll need to patch to the latest version. The last step is to download the latest map and put it in your Warcraft\Maps\Download folder. If you need full guide with pictures, check it out.

Q: I need the latest Warcraft patch.

A: The latest patch is always here.

Q: I have errors when I want to patch the game.

A: The solution is the fixer in here.

Q: When I want to patch, it says that "I don't have enough free space".

A: Right click the Patch icon, and choose "Run as Administrator".

AI maps (map with computer players / bots)

Q: I need the latest AI map (the map with computer players / bots).

A: Latest AI map is always here.

Q: I can't create the map, the "File size is too big".

A: You need the latest Warcraft patch, its here.

Q: When I enter the game, I can't see the map.

A: Go to your folder where you saved your map, and rename it into 668cAI.w3x , and restart the game. It will show up.

Q: I want to have any control over BOTS.

A: Press [ENTER] then [SPACE] then [ENTER]. You'll get the BOT menu.

About Replays

Q: I need to watch old replays, I need old patchs.

A: You'll need to use the same Warcraft patch as the replay was saved. Patch switcher with guide is here. Also, if you need to watch very old replays (1.18 -> 1.24b), there is a old patch switcher.

Q: I get error when I want to watch replay.

A: All errors are covered in this guide, read it well.

Q: I enter the replay, game starts, but heroes don't move?

A: Switch your patch to replay version (can be newer or older patch), use this guide.

About Hotkeys

Q: I need the easiest guide for hotkeys.

A: The shortest and easiest guide is here.

Q: I want to experiment other Hotkey programs.

Q: My hotkey program is working but not in Warcraft.

A: Run your program by right clicking the icon and choosing the "Run as Administrator".

Avatar and Signature

Q: I want to add avatar.

A: At the top left side of the screen, press the User Cp button. Then under the Settings & Options box, choose Edit Avatar. There, you'll find the browse button, so you can upload it. Check the full guide here if you want.

Q: I want to add signature.

A: At the top left side of the screen, press the User Cp button. Then under the Settings & Options box, choose Edit Signature. In the empty box, write whatever you want, or put some pictures. Check the full guide here if you want.

Q: I need professional avatar or signature.

A: Go to Studio D'Art - DotA Forums and read the sticky topics on how to request them.

Hope this guide is of some major help to people, as well as lessens the amount of useless threads here in quick help. Nice implementation too cp6, very nice indeed.

Nice one, skimmed through the links; none were broken. No typos or anything either at first read through... This is exactly what I had in mind, good job.

Just between you and me though... Is the font a coincidence :3?

EDIT: Add a link to gosugamers.com at "About Replays"? Seen quite many topics lately asking for "high lvl replays of X hero"

The font isn't changed at all. If you think about the white color, it has nothing to do with you I just made it like that to be more contrasted.
