When you're under the effects of shallow Grave, you DO HAVE an animation showing that you can't be killed.

But, when we are in the middle of a clash, or even when 1 hero like SA, CM or Nightcrawler is upon you, it's gonna be hard to see the animation ending.


Considering this, I suggest that Shallow Grave should have its icon placed upon the Status Bar for its duration:

Every spell like Shadow Grave must have status icon and to show the current level of the skill.

If you don't play as Dazzle anyway, why should you care about the level? Doesn't it last 5 seconds on all levels? And if you are already under the effect of Shallow Grave, you usually have nearly no hp left and should rather retreat than going to risk a kill for the enemy team.

On the one hand, I think it is useful to know when Shallow Grave ends exactly, on the other hand there can already be more than enough (also useless) buffs in an hero's inventory (maybe even so much that it doesn't display all?), that it can be really confusing to have an oversight over all of them.

No, no. That was not I meant. I simply said that all the skills that lacks status icons (like Shallow Grave) must have them, for consistency sake. But yeah, I agree that there is no point to show skill levels on the status icon of some abilities, again like Shallow Grave.

How about a small Cross Icon glowing above the buffed unit?
Like ursa's Fury Swipe animation of a paw icon above the target's head.
Of course its visible only to ally units.

And make it blink or fade slowly when the buff is near to end.

Actually, at the time I wrote the first comment, I was considering this and few hours later, I posted a thread in the Visual Addicts Group suggesting that issue. But still, no one replayed there. My idea is to share all of the taverns amongst few people for easily and faster searching of those, lets call them, "status-icon-less" abilities. Sharing is needed cause of the vast work that is required.

I'll give an example: Tiny's Craggy Exterior doesn't have status icon.
