Conclusion 1 : Mirana / Earthshaker are the perfectly balanced heroes , seeing how they have a high enough pick rate to call the statistics viable, they have a win rate of 50%.
Conclusion 2 : Seeing the rest of the table, statistics lie. Bristleback with 33% win rate? Lower than void / gondar / axe? Pathetic if you ask me Conclusion 3 : Pick Bara, he is imba. Statistics prove it

Besides the win/loss ratio, which is mostly irrelevant - this is a team game, I've won games where I played miserably and lost games where I played great, something stands out more.
Some heroes have a 70% chance of a pick/ban. And especially the pick rates around 50% are ridiculous: PotM, CM, Lion, ES, Venge basically are blocking 2.5 slots each game. It's like picking 8 heroes from the "rest of the world" (90 heroes) and picking the last 2 from these 5. And PotM - when was the last time I saw a game without PotM playing or banned? Some heroes need to be more attractive. Even more shocking, some heroes should be just taken out (not going to happen, I know)...

Thank you, what a contribution! It's interesting how the Dirge auto-bans during the 6.59 era still are enough to make him the seventh most banned hero. On the flipside, I'm surprised that Death Prophet is so low. I seem to recall that DP was imba back then as well.

Interesting to see the brood bans, NA bans, and potm picks, we all new about it, at least here are some statistics.
I was wondering OP if you could share your code you composed to go through the replay files. Cause if you did this by hand, you desire a beer from all of us  As this code could be useful if shared and more statistics could be gathered. Great work. |
