Default [Tweak/Rebalance] Spectre Skillset


The Ultimate List to
Balance Spectre's Skillset

[+] Do something about the Spectral Dagger:

Spectral Dagger is a pretty rad skill, it allow you to pass through random stuff! Trees, heroes, terrain, buildings virtually anything! It has an excellent range and the speed is good for catching heroes to right after they blink. Though it somewhat lacks in punch.
Some suggestions are:
  • A slight buff to mana-cost would do.
    Maybe put it a constant 130 mana cost ever-since that
    nerf to Disperse?


    OR
  • How about making Spectre's movement type into flying whilst
    still tying his model/collision shape to near the ground?
    Making phasing through stuff easier and more seamless?
    to balance the effect, how about giving Spectre herself zero vision
    while on the dagger's trail and restoring vision once she steps out?
    Putting a dummy unit with vision equal more or less to Spectre's vision
    in place of her own.


    OR
  • Making that 200 damage Pure and rounding-off the Movement Speed alterations into divisible-by-five numbers? In 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% ?? In the sense that it would be buffing the speed differentials itself.

  • Changing Disperse into a skill that is chance based and upon hitting Spectre, Creates an Illusion for every enemy unit that attacks for one hit then disappears.


    OR
  • Making it a passive non-chance based defensive skill that is based upon the current Disperse but with the deflection damage all focused on a single random unit in a 500 AOE


    OR
  • Making Disperse less sucky by having it deflect 100% but is cooldown based and chance based. Kinda like a Basher.
[+]Do something about Haunt

Dagger - manacost 110/120/130/140, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% ms (bonus & lost), damage type magical

Desolate - -10 damage per creep in 425 AoE

Disp - no change

Ulti - illusions don't disappear when subskill used

Spectral Dagger = Pure damage and flying movement. No need to remove vision, though.

Desolate = 1.6 BAT isn't that overpowered if ya ask me ;O

Disperse
= My own suggestion based on a mix of yours: Upon activation, Gives her a 20/25/30/35% damage reduction, and creates an illusion which hits the enemy unit, every time the enemy unit attacks her, for, say, 50% of Spectre's own damage. Lasts 4/5/6/7 seconds, with a 40/35/30/25 second cooldown, and no manacost.

Haunt = 100% damage and the vision is too strong, but not removing illusions upon Reality is just fine.

All that was just imo =]

well. giving spectre a "flying" movement type gives her a flying vision. which will be the target of screams of nerf from all around the dota chat..
to fix it. remove spec vision while under the "dagger" buff. and put a dummy unit giving spectre the vision of a ground unit.

Spectral Dagger: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes to the flying unit buff (MEGA T-UP). But make the pure damage a bit higher while keeping the mana cost the same. Say... 250 pure with current manacost and slow?

Desolate: The 1.6 BAT and attack range would be great. No need for the backswing, her attack animation is great already.

Disperse: It's fine now, although the old one was the best.

Haunt: 100% damage is pretty imba, maybe 100% damage with reduced attack speed? And MEGA T-UP to the Haunt images remaining after Reality!

This. Or even replace illusions with weaker ones (say, take 400% and deal 20%) when reality is used.
Or reducing its cooldown from 120 to 120/110/100. Because haunt is scaled really bad.

After Dispersion huge nerf this is what spectre deserve.
