NEEVIL - THE OPTOMANIAC

Hero Introduction:
Neevil is a one of the hero that apply technology as a part of his skills. Main theme for his skills is laser and magnetic pulse. Neevil can equipped his weapon with laser, burning his enemies armor and rendering them to be more vulnerable to incoming damage. He also can let loose a magnetic pulse from his weapon also. The pulse will damage and tumbling the enemies inwards. Besides, he can amplifies the damage taken by his enemies and ultimately transmit laser beam from the Goblin's Satellite, and damage any units it hits. The laser is controllable and this sure wanna make you to run away.

Background Story:
Neevil parted ways with his former partner Boush, the Tinker when they both ventured into different studies of more in-depth goblin engineering. Neevil focused on magnetism and the power of light amplification by stimulated energy radiation, which in the real world is also known as laser. Sail somehow lets loose electrifying laser beams to unsuspecting foes, shedding their exterior and incapacitating them and make sure they stay that way. Sparkling particles of light and ion fill up the void of the surroundings as Neevil haphazardly brings his marvelous goblin feat to the Sentinel, hoping to finally meet again with his goblin friend.

Model - Can you give me a hint?

1 - Basically, the skill doesn't say what it needs to say, it kind of lacks explanation. A Great skill actually, its somewhat a great alternative rather than you yourself causing the -armor. I think this is what you mean to say:

I've placed it in a better version of the tool-tip.

Sail equips his weapon with a special laser that, at every attack burns of enemies' armor. The laser attacks everytime Sail attacks. While activated, this skill will drain mana per second.

Level 1: Laser depletes 0.25 armor per attack.
Level 2: Laser depletes 0.55 armor per attack.
Level 3: Laser depletes 0.75 armor per attack.
Level 4: Laser depletes 1 armor per attack.

Cooldown: N/A
Mana Cost: 80/70/60/50 per sec when activated
Type: Toggle
Target: Single Enemy Unit
Framework: A continuous blue laser beam will blast out to anyone Sail attacks
Notes:
- When this skill is activated, the laser will automatically burn the targetted unit's armor that Sail attacks.
- The amount of Armor deplete have no cap.
- This skill will automatically change target when Sail change his attack's target.
This way, its more balanced, as you wait for Sail's attack cooldown for the skill to work. Awhile ago, the skill was underbalanced. And the /sec didn't make much sense. Here's an idea. Why don't you make the cooldown very very low. Say 3/2/1/0 seconds, like an autocast ability. This makes it more versatile and reliable. Another thing, the mana lost from the ability is way too high. I don't think a player would even want the ability going of per second, as it matches Leshrac's ulti mana per sec.

2 - There is no point in this skill. I'm sorry. There's a lack of synergy, creativity and very bad, IMO. Lore-wise, I don't think there are Elder Goblin spirits, they don't seem to believe in that. Another thing, there isn't a direct transparency of synergy working or thematic appeal. Scrap this please.

3 - Good in concept, lacking more of explanation. What is the AoE of the outburst of the ability? And doesn't the sparking light (of 10 seconds) have a duration that is quite long? I suggest a shorter and more explanatory tool-tip

maybe i will make it as orb effect/buff placer autocast spell. thanks for the tooltip!

i will reduce the duration of the effects, and reduce the text for tooltip too.

do you play GENERAL? its like the ultimate weapon of the America.........where the China team got his nuclear as their ultimate weapon (you can find Black Lotus in this team too)...well i hope you play it...since i can't explain it very well...

You noe Wildkin, the birdie NC right? imagine you use his tornado thingy, which is controllable....right (i hope you get it until now)....then, change the tornado with laser beams which comes out straight from above. that would be Sail's ultimate...

Oh, so a controllable uprising laser? Hmm... interesting.

So, wouldn't that be a big hassle to control it? I mean you have Sail to worry about, you would be forced out of microing [aka controlling] him. Also, a speed of 150, is very very very slow.

owh, the slow MS is to balance it. i make it based on Wildkin's tornado...so any idea on appropriate MS for the laser? i think Sail will have no problem to be control, as he got a passive that can slow the units...as the new 2nd skill to relocate all the enemy units in a line so that they can be hit perfectly by his ulti...have you check it out?

and i hope you can help me to rephrase the tooltip, to be a lil bit understandable...

Second skill, what do you mean the enemy moves toward? Toward the AoE or Sail? Ok, I'm seeing some life of synergy here, but its really really small. The ultimate acts slow to balance, I see, but being so slow, how can you possibly make some hits? And the passive will never ALWAYS make the other units walk slower. You need a more reliable asset. I'll discuss this later on.

its like when the unit were pulled by Tauren Chieftain's ultimate. sorry, my English sucks...

maybe i will increase the laser's MS. How about 300/350/400. Maybe i will think of something for his Aghanim's upgrade then...

A 300-400 variable would be nice. So then, you are saying its towards the target point, eh? haha. I'm opening up more discussion points so you can see what the potential flaws are with this hero, so far, there are quite a few. Synergy is one, but were still working on that.

For Aghanim upgrade, its not that necessary to add it in, there's just no point to it, , well unless IceFrog really finds your hero zomgwtfimbaqq AMAZING!!!!!

I'm actually quite fond of your 3rd ability. The only problem is how we fit it to the picture with the other skills, except 1 which it already clicks. Skills 2 and 4 have a slight connection. But how about intertwining both combos to make it one deadly one? I mean that is what we are all looking for in synergy.

Thinking about it, pulling in units from skill 2 allows some units to enter the required AoE for Sparking Light to hit them, maybe an indirect synergy?

you want the 3rd skill to deal damage also? or maybe instead of lowering the MS, maybe encase them with a shield that can amplifies any physical damage? or maybe tweak the 1st spell to affect multiple units? or maybe amplifies the damage taken by affected unit based on the number of units that already affected by his skill? or a passive upgrade skill that can cause his spell can damages siege unit n tower as well (which can help to maximize the types of unit can be affected by his spell)?

Also, I'd like to add that the name Laser Master, automatically draws off users from looking at your hero idea. It comes of as a mediocre name and kind of sounds like a fun name. I'd suggest something more "sophisticated". Goblin Mechanic? Laser Mechanic? Goblin Laser Machine? Goblin Beam? Beam Goblin? Laser Goblin? Mechanic Laser? That sounds quite good. Sail, the Mechanic Laser, well for me. haha

nah....nvm if you didn't understand it. maybe damage amplification should work perfectly on his 3rd skill.

it will reduce armor, regardless it is armor that the hero gain from item or base armor...
