How do you exactly cancel attack animation?

Orbwalking is easy. Just target with hot key then right click to move immediately, repeat. I've killed plenty of heroes doing that.

But yesterday I solo'ed against Razor who could walk towards me as he was hitting me with his standard attack. It's similar to orbwalking and it was very frustrating to deal with.

How do you EXACTLY do it with regular animation cancelling (aka Shadow walking)?

Target with (A)ttack, press (S)top immediately, right click to move immediately, repeat?

When do you press Stop? Or am I not even close? Thanks.

Once the animation backswing is complete -projectile moves out- press S or move around.
Its the same with melee heroes, except more timing is needed, as there is no projectile.

Most of the time im spamming S, but when im ranged and when there is a hero like Pudge or Lina i move with right click and lasthit

i usually move to cancel the animation. s just feels unnatural for me doing it.

Experience and timing. It's very easy really.
But for maiden I still don't understand how he could hit someone WITHOUT the animation. I saw it on youtube once.
