Default [Item] Demonic Orb




VERSION 2
Demonic Orb
+10 to all stats
200hp
150mana

Demonic Pressence(Passive)
Reduce Magic resistance by 18% in 700 AoE.
Demonic Curruption(Active)Deals 100 magic damage per second to a target for 8seconds, in 700 AoE (1 target)
If the enemy hero moves out of 700 AoE from the bearer the item will do +1 attack with 50% the damage bonus(total=150) and a 0.1seconds ministun, and then stops.
*Only 1 target can be linked for damage at a time. A visual link is placed when dot is on a target.
Mana Cost: 185
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Recipe:
+ + + (1500) = (5200) or
*Icon will be modified somehow

Still working on it. Need the feedback

Changelog

VERSION 2 CHANGELOG
-Changed name to Demonic Orb
-Replace mystic staff on recipe with ultimate orb
-orb gives now +10 to all stats/200hp/150 mana instead of +25int/200hp/150mana
-Increased damage to 140 from 120
-Bonus damage when enemy unit is moved out of range reduced to 50% instead of 100%
-Reduced cooldown to 2seconds instead of 10, added that only can be used at 1 enemy unit at a time. (It remains on cooldown till the cast is completed)
-Reduced AoE magic resistance reduction to 15% from 20%
-Increased recipe cost to 1500 from 500
-reinstate damage to 120
-add new picture as demonic orb
-add 0.1seconds ministun if a hero moves out of range.

well..have you got some hero suggestions fitting for your demonic staff? the only one i suppose would be lesh and i think "disable > dmg" for an int hero..when you already have a mystic staff i would always prefer shiva/hex to your staff. maybe change the recipe a bit? maybe ulti orb instead of mystic staff and no recipe cost and turn that thing into a midgame item? i see that alot on lesh or akasha then

At version 1
It can be used almost by most int carriers, semi-carries and disablers for extra damage(example rhasta)
Version 2
can be used by other casters that are not Int based.

There i edited it, to something more imba so i can nerf it afterwards

are the 2 secs cd a typo? or do you expect someone to deal like (ur example rhasta..activate it..cast shackle..then voodoo..like 8 secs disabled while getting 140 magic dmg a second...maybe he will break out then...another 280 dmg..) 1k damage while being disabled (rhastas ulti and surrounding heroes and units which are not counted in yet will also do dmg..) isnt that quite imba? nerf the numbers and the cd i guess..
love the passive idea

hey i said i gonna make it imba didnt i? Cooldown is least of the problem, dmg vs price is the real imbalanced thing

I will present you with the issues i deal with:

Orb or stuff depends on the materials used (not real issue)

-I think cooldown should be 2seconds and i will nerf the bonus dmg if they break out to 50% bonus
What you think?

-Also thinking about the magic resistance reduction, 15% or 20%?

-Damage can be somewhere 100-160 not less not more.
what you think?

-Price can be 4k-6k not less not more, will be out of theme... depends on the bonuses it gives

The concept is cool and I like this item but it seems to powerful. The damage to the linked hero is too much, especially since it has a reduce magic resistance aura.

i would think something around 15% is good. 20% would be too high, because there is no other item then hood to increase your magic immunity (well okay..pudge,magina..) the linked hero had no chance against any other casting hero (imagine zeus then..he would deal like 700 damage with agha..the perfect lasthit).

To the itemcost...maybe increase recipe to 1,5k gold?

Well yeah, if rhasta want to go purely aggro he can make this, the other guy can go make a heart and solve his problem or buy himself a disable too This is similar to as a stunner... buying buriza, isnt it? But its actually less damage If your mage wanna follow a different path, he can

i would say nerf the cd to..20 or 30 secs i guess. Otherwise you can target 1 hero the whole time in a clash..2-5 secs would be okay when you could target more than one
maybe nerf dmg to 120 a sec and when the linked hero breaks out of the demonic circle he will get a ministun? (would be useful against pugna or eni
all in all i think its pretty cool. It just has to compete against agha and guinsoo i guess

No i just want the item to boost your attack vs 1 hero but if he leaves out of AoE or die you be able to reuse on someone else

For exact damage and price we need some extensive mathcraft to compare it with other damaging items. I will nerf it to 120 damage for now and add a 0.2seconds ministun when Hero break out of range.

That post was before it was nerfed, now its nerfed and its not imba anymore. Did you read Version 2 changelog?
