Default [Movie] Tekken

Yeah, Tekken.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st6dHmDSkhY

Honestly, for me, it wasn't as horrible as I was expecting it to be. The action and fighting were good. But the story and the character histories and whatnot were a little faulty and far from the game.

But that's just what I think. What about yours?

P.S.: The actress in the movie, Kelly Overton (Christie), is SOOOOOOOOOO hot... Gawd. Candice Hillebrand (Nina Williams) ranks second.

Well I wasn't expecting much so this movie actually fared very well in my books. Yeah, I know all the faulty history and characterization but that kinda comes with the package anyways so I wouldn't hold it against them... after all how the hell would you portray a 90 year old man who is as buff was Arnold in his hey-days, can easily beat up equally fit 20-30 year olds and crackles with lightning?

Anyone with a teaspoon of sense would try to make movies out of Tolstoy rather than inane video games.

But that's just me.

Tekken big fan here. Like you said I don't liked Tekken 2010 movie. At least let's talk about Jin-ish movements. Everyone who like play Tekken knows Jin's straight powerful punch, kicks. Where is that awsome moves? Also wtf wrong with Steve Fox!? Steve Fox is my most favorite hero. But no similar things between game Fox and movie Fox. I was so embrassed on Fox.

Still I don't understand why Nina and Anna cooperating? where is Dragunov's sambo technics? Why Heihachi Mishima too weak? Where is Yoshimitsu's mysterious history, moves?

You mean Helicopter move, Dizzy Dummy Move, Suicidal Move, Healing Move, Jumping Move, and Bad Breathe Move?

PS:
some actors did not fit their characters except Yushimitsu=)

I really hope that this trend of adapting every other popular franchise of cartoons/video-games gets dropped soon. It is an indirect insult to anyone even remotely interested in movies in general.

7.5. Just watched it. I totally missed (as above mentioned) Jin's straights and fighting style he uses in game and ELECTRICITY! Where did it go ? I'd have liked his trademark hair too

Yeah, Heihachi did not do anything memorable. He just said "I... AM... TEKKEN!" As for Steve and Jin, yeah, Steve was no where near as awesome as he is from the game. I love Steve! But they made him look like some sort of trainer type who street fights. Not box, but street fight.

Oh, and get this, those awesome gauntlets that Jin uses in-game was given to him by Steve in the movie! Steve states the he used to used them. WTH?!

Well, at least the Jin in the movie is ALMOST Asian. Compared to the white Goku that is.

Tekken 9/10. You're all fools haha. This movie portrayed the video game perfectly. Its target audience were Tekken players and they did it great. You guys really don't understand what makes a movie good. Sorry you didn't get it!!

I loved that Heihachi was played by the same guy who played Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat. Very fitting and very classy. Jin's hair was awesome. The entire universe in this film matched up well to the game. Marshal Law didn't look like his character like the others but I'm sure they did this for two reasons. To better distinguish Jin from Law and to not have a Bruce Lee look alike.

Did anyone hold out to the end of the credits to see the SECRET ENDING!?
It pretty much showed us what we already knew when Heihachi 'died' in the warehouse.

Jin's hair was awesome ? What ? It was just normal hair. Unlike in game, where Jin's hair are really awesome.
