Since i've got some free times again with the summer holidays, and after some trips across europe, i've come again to collect some data. Here's the data of the 6.68 items usage in competitive.

Here are the first 100 games analysis, lot of asian games in here since gosugamers started uploading them more often.

The difference with the old 6.67 numbers is pretty huge. For example, Nulls and Wraith are basically non-existents, and the few that are there are pretty much all from western replays (there are about 20 and 20). While higher tier items are more present. Welcome in the world of low kills, high cs games.
More comments later.

p.s. power treads completely out of control now. Not even WR use PB regularly now.

EDIT: number from 40 to 60 games.

EDIT2: number from 60 to 80 games.

EDIT3: number from 80 to 100 games.

Analysis of item usage in competitive 6.66, 6.67, 6.68, 6.69 and 6.71. Ongoing.

Look my reorganization of the weapon shop for:
• Organized shop layout (ala Sena the Accesorizer)
• More unique +dmg items (BoA ,Broadswoard & Claymore)
• Items and recipes are more logical and intuitive
• Hammer is the old Javelin (the %chance fits naturaly in Basher + Mael)
• Desolator is now made from swords
and more!

Midas was bought in an eedl game by a Skeleton King. It was a pretty messy game, a -cmub with all the new heroes and all with the version just out. Maybe i shouldn't use those games, but replay were scarce and high level pubs are still games.

Manta needs a serious nerf. Look. There were 53 mantas bought, much more than other DPS items of moreless the same price, like deso (5) SnY (2), radiance (13, this one not much less considering its harder to build) or Battlefury (8). Melee heroes are dissapearing, something which is obvious looking at the items: just 7 PMS and 15 Vlads (from 53 RoB). Its also pretty noticeable the lack of STR heroes in the picks, something which comes from the lack of melee picks.

Imo, the current low-kills-high-cs metagame SUCKS.

Does your analyzer takes into account the fact, that arcane boots are upgraded to ptx/travels?

No. You can go my sig and see my other two threads about this. This consider ONLY the item at the end of the game. Raw numbers aren't that important, comparison are more important. Treads going from about 5 to 7 per game in 2 versions, nulls and wraith going from above 1 to about 0.5, etc...

Ice frog got to do something about those treads. these boots are OP. no other boots stand a chance againts treads. i used to rush travels on heroes like morphling back in the day. now i just get treads - they are way to good, you will loose lane and early battles if you ain't gonna have treads.

bring back the rcp or something. cause is just way too cheap. or buff the other 3 boots a lot, which ain't gonna happen, IMO.

BTW basher, BS, midas completely dead. these items are so dead, what if you try to excavate their graves, you wouldn't find a single bone there

i guess that was like DP, more fun, not serious games. i have seen russian pros making midas time to time on naix, leoric, etc.

about EB. i guess they were stomping the game and tried out EB on their carry just for fun.

Bottle in 6.66 was ~3.4 per game.
Bottle in 6.67 was ~2.8 per game.
Bottle in 6.68 was ~1.7 per game.

So the usage has been roughly halfed in 2 versions

Also, only 0.1 Soul Ring per game seems odd.
