Default Aghanim's Scepter "usefull rank" list.


This is my upgraded rank agha's on each hero, with community opinions.


5-very usefull, amazing or just must get
4-good option
3-option
2-not too usefull, or some luxury
1-wrong concept, other items have higher priority, or extremely situational

This includes team role, farming possibility, and other items that has better priority on that hero, price/profit form agha, build synergy, hero synergy, usual team role.

My idea is to rebalance Aghanim's Scepters to be stabled at rank 4 or 3.5 on the "Agha usefull list" beceause Aghanim's upgrade on many heroes cannot be a sirious option, maybe jsut for fun or check. It just not enough balanced to be good in use. About 10-20 heroes have imo very weak upgrade, this is a lot.
Please, Just dont waste the coding of nice visual efects of ahga and balance it to make it even an option that can be usefull, beceause sometimes Aghanims recipe and base stats dont fit to the hero, and the item cost/profit sumary is worse than bonuses it provides.

Also there are few imbalanced Aghaims that force to rush it like on Panda, Invoker, Clock. That too spoils item build fun beceause Agha is almost a must get item on them.
Nice agha upgrades are on heroes like on Venge - reduce cd enough to make it really usefull and also its not a totaly must get, beceause its expensive, Pudge, Night stalker also have nice upgrades beceause it do something more.

There is many pointless upgrades that dont fit to hero style play, or dont give enough. Like new added heroes: Tiny 3 hit stick or Warlock infernals that are in some situations even easier to kill.


Ofcourse there will be some people that can say "omg i alwayas rush agha on my hero and it owns on pubs", but many ppl dont share that point of view, if there is no a sirious argument for that.

Im fully open or some changes on that list and maybe some balance propositons.
My wish is to make Aghaim upgrade useful on all heroes. That will bring more strategic and build options, and will bring more fun to the game

6.69 upate:
Seems that thread help a lot in balancing Aghanims, in summary we got 10 Aghanims ultimate buffs, and 5 Ultimate balances also one Aghanim ulti added:

Enchantress
- Aghanim's Scepter added to Enchantress (Increases her attack and Impetus range by 150)

Axe - Aganim's buff
-Cooldown on Aghanim's Culling Blade reduced from 15 to 10 seconds
Furion - Aghanim's buff
- Wrath of Nature (Aghanim's version) max chain increased from 12/14/16 to 14/16/18
Jakiro - Aghanim's buff
- Increased Macropyre (Aghanim's version) travel distance
Lina Inverse -Aghanim's buff
- Laguna Blade (Aghanim's version) damage increased from 600/875/1150 to 600/925/1250
Luna -Aghanim's buff
- Eclipse (Aghanim's version) target limit increased from 5 to 6
Queen of Pain -SIRIOUS Aghanim's buff
- Sonic Wave (Agahnim's version) cooldown improved from 120/100/80 to 100/70/40
Sand King -Aghanim's buff
- Epicenter (Aghanim's version) now gives one more pulse
Spirit Braker -Interesting Aghanim's buff
- Nether Strike (Aghanim's version) now Greater Bashes everyone in 250 area around you when you teleport to the primary target
Tiny- Aghanim's buff
- War Club hit count and AoE increased
Viper -Aghanim's buff
- Viper Strike (Aghanim's version) mana cost reduced from 125/175/250 to 125

Warlock- Aghanims and Ultimate buff
- Increased Infernal movement speed from 320/330/340 to 320/340/360
- Immolation from multiple Infernals now stack

Juggernaut - Ultimate buff
- Omnislash no longer wastes a strike by considering banished units in its search
Leshrac - Ultimate buff
- Pulse Nova AoE increased from 300/350/400 to a constant 400
Pandarean Brewmaster - Ultimate Buff
- Cooldown on the Boulder ability on Primal Split's Earth Panda decreased from 10 to 7 seconds
Doom - Ultimate nerf
- Doom cast range reduced from 650 to 550

You kidding about jugg, right? Aghanim's effectively adds 300-500 more physical damage + additional slashes to his omnislash. Why would that be a fail?

On jugg, I would say 3

It solves his mana problem

I would say 3 for zeus since the damage is really good on a fight on mid-late game transition (min 30ish)

Necrolyte should be 1, I remember that you insta-gib the enemy with Agh only if he has 3% more total health than when you can insta-gib without Agh.
Also, Vengeful's rating could be lower. She just can't survive 10 seconds, and to do another effective swap you have to run back towards your teammates. 400 mana is a lot too.

this thread is mostly about FIXING NOT TOO MUCH USEFULL AGHA UPGRADES, so if some hero has 3 or more just leave it - its fine.

I played Bala some time ago and just few wards, work like that his all ulti... so i dont think that deserves for more than 3, if u played sirius bala.

sceptor on pugna and wd makes them very viable semi carries. just cos wd is better of supporting doesnt mean that he cant do major dmg with 3x attacking ward

panda - needs a slight nerf, because it makes other items on him obsolete

prophet - needs a slight damage buff, because stealing creeps from those who really need them isn't too cool.

veno - this is tricky, but really how many other items are actually a good buy? maybe a slight nerf, and slight buff to poison sting...

sk - teeny weensy buff needed

pudge - buff needed, maybe on healing

THD - would like to see a buff, although he's already usable

axe - he just doesn't need the item, period. it will either be overpowered enough to be a must buy, or underpowered and a never buy. it doesn't fit his playstyle.

razor - ugh, buff it. instead of hitting buildings make it attack heroes only or something.

lock - uh, maybe 20 sec cd reduction will be tidy, idk...

tiny - tree needs to last for more hits. is it hardcoded? 4/5 hits would be tight.

sb - make his ult instant

He needs complete remake on his ulti. With or without Aghanim, it sucks.

Btw, CM should get 1. The damage upgrade is okay, but no one plays her ulti anyway. At least not in coordinated team battle.

QoP could be 3 or 4 imo, depends on your team's lineup. If you have enough disables in your team, the cd and dmg upgrade is great on her. She's a spell dpser anyway. If not, which is almost all of the time in pubs, getting hex first is the priority.
