Default [IMPLEMENTED][Remake]Hood of Defiance




Hood of Defiance

A furred, magic resistant headpiece originally worn by Orcish shamans during conjuration ceremonies, it also heightens the life regeneration rate of whoever wears it.

Components:

2 x + +

List of Components
  • 2x Ring of Regeneration (700 Gold)
  • Ring of Health (875 Gold)
  • Planeswalker's Cloack (500 Gold)
Grand Total: 2075 Gold

Old Stats
  • +30% spell resistence
  • +8 hp/sec regen
New Stats
  • +30% spell resistence
  • (+9) +8 hp/sec regen


In Depth Information

- No armor included to be lost later
- Higher hp/sec regen throughout build path
- Not anymore dual path to build up (seldom used feature)
- Still fully built from side shops
- Khadgar's Pipe should grant (+12 hp/sec) same hp/sec regen!

Hmm. Interesting.
Logical and simple way of removing Helm without causing any major diference on the build (besides the +1 hp bonus, wich i don't agree btw). 5/5 for you.

T-up...

- Removes the price inconsistency since it can still be made through the side shops anyway.
- +1 regen/sec does not really matter for the laning power HotD currently gives.
- And the Spell Damage reduction is the more important part.

It's 75 gold cheaper and grants +1 hp/sec.
That's just because that represents the sum of + 2 (RoR) + 2 (RoR) +5 (RoH) = 9.

But, ofc, this spell resistence improve is great, and I think it can easily be turned into +8 hp/sec, like current one. No problem.

Any Hood of Defiance remake without Headdress of Rejuvination is wrong.

Too many components, when the game can be consolidated into a single form.

Health Regeneration + Spell Resistance = overpowered, +3 HP/second maximum is a basic requirement of balance.

The benefit of your suggestion is that it removes Helm Of Iron Will, keeping you from losing 5 armor in the process of upgrading.

Thats what else, the entire game needs to be reconsidered, not broken.

it's great to be one of the most imba items..
But I think the same way as u.. armor removal is worse.. so T-UP

Wut. If you put headdress in, people will just complain that you lose the aura.

Hardly. Regen does not help defend against burst damage such as nukes. What's far more overpowered was another suggestion that wanted the armour implemented.

The solution is that you dont lose the aura, the point of having a Hood of Defiance is that if you group together as a gang of rebels, the added rejuvination auras greatly benefit your survival against AoE spells, and promote staying close together.

If you are serious about organizing the games design to the greatest level of sensability you will include the items graphics together, swords to swords and hoods to hoods.

If you are serious, you wont deny absolute logic when presented to you.

Adding that level of self synergy is undeniable by anyone truly enlightened.

You just wanna make HoD a supporter item, that's your oppinion. It already needs one Rejuvenation to build Pipe, which is a supporter item.

If you wanna support, first buy Rejuvenation and then go Pipe, which is meant to be a supporter item.

I think HoD should be a self-defense item. Upgrading it to Pipe would be just an option.

I'd conclude you think current HoD is OP: is it correct?
My propose only swapt +3 hp/sec and +5 armor for +5 hp/sec. Is it overpowered?

Overpoweredness is not my concern with the item, it is providing it with its appropriate use, which is primarily Magic Resistance.

Including Armor is superfluos.

Building into Pipe is also arbitrary in my honest opinion.

Pipe's effects are too dramatic anyhow, and Hood of Defiance should be the end of the recipe chain, starting with Headdress of Rejuvination.
