Couriers should be free.

I just realized how supremely retarded it was for couriers to cost 200 gold. It's an indispensable part of laning especially if you're solo mid. It allows you to put your farm to use faster, ferry regeneration items, and rebottle at fountain without every leaving the lane.

In many games couriers are never even bought because people keep thinking "oh I'll let someone else buy them." This is ridiculous. The carries shouldn't buy it because they're carries, and support/gankers are sometimes selfish assholes that would rather get Culling Blade on Crixalis than a chicken. Even in high-level games there's maybe 5% of the games w/o a chicken for one team.

Couriers should be free. Maybe increase the Crow upgrade cost to 300 or something.

I disagree that it should be free, they should cost MORE - as they offer something so valuable as a ferry to the base, PERMANENT (unless you let it die) for less than two town portals? Not even, eow.

Not more not less. If it was more, even LESS people will buy it! If its free, it will take out a small part of the strategy aspect. Currently, teams have to decide which hero is most suited for spending gold.

Err.. so you're saying an item is "too good to pass up".. and thus should be free?

I'd say increase the cost, to make it more of a choice.. right now it's too much of a no-brainer. Maybe 300 - 500g, for the basic courier?

It's also interchangeable in cost with wards.. meaning 2-3 supports at the game's start can all use 403g starting builds to get the wards on CD, get the crow, and maybe even make it flying..

What about boots, they're even more common than crows.. average game probably has 5x more boots purchased than couriers.. why not make them cheaper?

Also, think of the selfish pub who doesn't share their courier but to their friends even if they were asked

It would be better if chicken is just removed from the game and you directly have to buy the crow. Now that would be much better and not even game breaking.

Why not just give every hero 6 tangos, a salve and 2 clarities +DR? Surely nothing wrong can come of this by your logic.

yeah, lets remove every hero except 10, every item except 6, top and bot lane, every creep camp, every tree, every tower, both fountains, or basicly remove everything
