That would be nice, but those damn children are blowing up buildings because their parents told them santa doesn't exist, or they drew a funny picture of Santa.
To make matters worse, those children have seperated themselves into different sects, and are shunning eachother. "santa lives in the northpole!", "No! santa lives in korvatunturi!" etc. and some of them are killing eachother over that small detail.
If that's not enough, it's nearly impossible to be a popular kid in school in the US if you don't believe in Santa. If you want to be the popular kid, you gotta say "Santa loves us all". That's how bad it has gone people!

Just because someone says Santa judges us all and deems whether we're naughty or nice, and people act accordingly, doesn't mean it's true. And it most certainly doesn't give the children the right to start judging people if they're naughty or nice.

Sure it might make children "feel nice", but at what cost? Is the primal warm sensation really worth all that suffering and trouble?
Wouldn't it be better if we'd just tell them the truth that It's the parents that bring the presents, that there's no need for Santa?
By removing Santa out of the picture, we'd be one step closer to a more unified child community. One less thing to categorize us in.

Christian God may not have created the Universe, mostly because everything we know of "Him" are stories written by a person. The concept that there is a god who created evolution and the universe is quite possible; a lot of things are still a mystery to our minds; we still do not even fully understand how gravity works, we just know it exists and what it does.

There may very well be a deity that created the universe and the rules in which it operates (such as mutation and gravity), and has simply left it to... evolve.

Actually he makes a really good point using santa as a synonym for god. In it's context, its a reply to another guy that said "let children believe in santa, because it makes them happy".

In that case I wouldn't be too concerned that religion is creating a war, humans tend to find reasons to wage wars. The only issue religion is creating is discriminatory stereotyping that has been blown out of proportion by the media.

Also another unfortunate factor is that racism is part of our genes. We as a species are designed to distrust anything that looks different. But if the initial distrust is overcome then the super ego removes any negative emotions towards the individual. In contempory times children overcome that barrier easily since its taught to them early that we're all equal. But there are the few psychopaths who take this initial distrust and turn it into pure hate.
