No. Because it would be imbalanced, don't you think?
And probably because it just stops the hero from using spells, not silencing them. Wait what?

Questions about the inner workings of DotA belong in Mech. Moved there.

Last word doesnt go into effect until the spell ends. This means the unit won't be silenced until after it has finished or cancelled its channeling spells.

so, if a unit has a long animation like CM, you could cancel the animation to prevent it from finishing the spell right?

The silence will occur at the end of the backswing for any non-channeling spell, or whenever you cancel this backswing.
(also channeling spell have no backswing, and this is the case for 2 of CM's spells, even though Crystal Nova has a 0s channeling) |

It means that, a channeling Rylai would be silenced after her ulti ends? SK would be silenced after he finishes the channeling of epicenter? and Nevermore would be silenced after the casting time ends ?

Yes for all the questions above, yet cast time is different from channeling time. SK's Epicenter starts cooldown when cast but Requiem of Souls may be cancelled by pressing H due to its large cast time. RoS starts CD only when cast time is finished. If interrupted with a stun, SF will attempt a recast.

Obviously i fairly know the difference between casting and channeling time as well as the cooldowns.
Was asking about the interaction with Last Word, only. |

The silence goes into effect when the cast animation ends, because it is canceled or because it ends normally.
For channeling spells, this means when the channeling ends. (note that a lot of spells are considered as channeling with no channeling time, because they are based on a channeling spell like Blizzard or Channel) For non-channeling spells, this means at the end of the backswing, or whenever the backswing is canceled. |

Yes you were, but i think channeling spells get interrupted if your mate is casting a spell too and Last Word triggers. At least that happened to me alot using Enigma and amybe that is what happened to you.

It doesn't silence the only unit that casts spell? I mean, a hero casting a spell would trigger Last Word making all of his allies, silenced?

Of course only the unit that just finished casting its spell will be silenced, that's how the skill works.

Yes, that's not true, and that's why posting stuff and writing "I think that", "I'm pretty sure that", "I feel like" is the same as not posting at all.
