+Once ur in Game , Alt Tab and open Task Manager and close explorer.exe , this eats a lot of ram and it makes ur CPU Usage go high , after ur done playing alt tab back to Task Manager and click on run and write explorer.exe and u will get ur desktop back!

Explorer doesn't take more that 30-40 Mb ram, and it eats 0% while playing a game. I don't get where did you see that it takes too much ram and cpu? I think you either were doing something or you're infected.

Turning off sound completely for warcraft 3 has helped a lot of my friends with crap computers.

There is only one thing I can set my finger on, Ventrilo does not cause any lag at all, except if you internet is like 500kb, and your computer is bad.. Skype is different.

Needs to be finished, I just don't have time. Will work on it as soon as I can.

Hello!
Tnx Cp6uja_ I found your guide really helpfull since I want to buy a new budget gaming PC that can handle DotA at high settings. I have a dilema and I hope u can help me further in buying the PC. So, regarding the processor I want to purcese it is a AMD Athlon X3 445 2.9 Ghz. Some say that triple core doesn't work great with DotA and advise me to buy an AMD Athlon X2, Other, say that the X3 is better rated and that will work better. As a GPU I choosed the HD 4850. Tnx for the help! |

Yes, you are right. Triple core won't help at DotA. Go with Dual core, there is no need for X3.
ATI4850 can handle Starcraft 2 at max details no problem. Will run DotA at 64FPS all the time.
