Default [NAMES] Summons and Wards


Introduction:
Almost all summons and wards, when leveled up, get stronget and better, yet their names remain the same. The only exceptions are BM's pig and hawk (Normal/Greater), and Enigma's eidolons (Lesser/Normal/Greater/Dire).

Summons:
My suggestion consists of 2 parts, one which will rename the following summons like this:
  • Revenants (Visage) -> Revenant / Greater Revenant / Dire Revenant
  • Infernal (Warlock) -> Infernal / Greater Infernal / Dire Infernal
  • Lycantrophy Wolves (Lycan) -> Lesser Wolf / Wolf / Greater Wolf / Dire Wolf
Alternative options by:
Wry -> Infernal / Greater Infernal / Grand Infernal
Wry -> Young Wolf/ Wolf/ Timber Wolf/ Dire Wolf.
darkhunter -> Infernal / Greater Infernal / Hell's Infernal
Domenico -> Infernal / Greater Infernal / Abyssal Infernal.

Wards
And the second part, to do the same with wards. For this, I'll follow Pugna's example, which uses normal Numbers (1, 2, 3, 4).
  • Plague Wards (Veno)
  • Serpent Wards (Rhasta)
  • Power Cogs (Clockwerk): Instead of 1/2/3/4 -> v1/v2/v3/v4 like the versions used in programs to give it a more robotic feel (thxs Dark Rogue)
  • Healing Ward (Yurnero)
  • Land Mines, Stasis Traps, and Remote Mines (Techies)
  • Death Ward (Voljin)
  • Tombstone (Dirge)
  • Earth/Fire/Storm (Panda)
Alternative options by:
Domenico -> Power Cogs mk1/ Power Cogs mk2 / Power Cogs mk3 / Power Cogs mk4
Domenico -> Disciple's Healing ward / Shaman's Healing ward / Tribal Healing ward / Ancestral Healing ward
Domenico -> Faint Plague ward / Noxious Plague ward / Vile Plague ward / Necrotic Plague ward

Questions
*Necro dudes as of now, use numbers to show the level. Should this remain the same, or be changed like my summons suggestion, and call them Normal/Greater/Dire?
*Also, any ideas for Invo's forged spirit?
** Suggestion by NoThlnG: 2Q3E (showing 2 levels of Quas and 3 levels of Exort)
** Suggestion by Zack1996: Add the QWE levels as a buff, perhaps in a 2Q3E format (same as above)

Notes:
-Summons/Wards which currently remain the same when leveled:
Psi Trap (Lanaya)
Spiderling and Spiderite (Brood)
Living Dead (Dirge)
-The lesser/greater/dire nomenclature, is traditionally used by D&D games, to represent a particularly big and dangerous animal or monster, like a Dire Rat, or lesser Water elemental.
-At first I had intended the same for the 3 Pandas (Earth/Fire/Storm), but it doesn't sound very good, so I'm gonna use normal numbers on them insted.

For invoker, I suggest something like '2Q3E' since it is easy to understand...

Typo fixed, thanks!

"2Q3E", although not very appealing from a cosmetic point of view, serves quite right to show the actual level of the spirit. I think I'm gonna add that to the OP as a possible option if you don't mind.

I was thinking something like 2-1 also (2 for quas and 1 for exort) but that will make some newbie player confused.

Of course I don't mind put my suggestion as possilbe option .... ^^

Death Ward can only be selected by the owner isn't it? So there is no point in adding teh number, when you know yourself it's level.

Nice idea, but I don't think that Lesser/Normal/Greater/Dire fits to infernal and Revenant. Figure out something new.

I support you, although I do not think that the term Dire fits neither the Infernal nor the Revenant. I suggest Infernal/Greater Infernal/Grand Infernal. For the wolves I propose Young Wolf/ Wolf/ Timber Wolf/ Dire Wolf.

Just for consistency sake I assume then. If we're adding it to all the wards in the map, why not this one too?

Clockwerks' would be nice too

Storm Earth and Fire are not wards 0_o

Forged Spirit should not have the name change Implemented IMO.
Essentially, it is a single unit given hidden abilities which enhance its stats. If it is to be granted a different name, it must be another unit. That means more coding and more units and stuff.
A better solution would be to use buffs (aura) to show its level.

True, but buffs're kinda clunky to use. Perhaps a dummy skill icon (aka 0% Evasion) on the spirit which can tell us its level?

Absolutely no objection on this. This is as logical as a suggestion gets.

Coherent and consistent, and will also give a more "complete" look to the map. Big support from me.

As I wrote under "Notes" section:

That's why I paired them along with the wards.

About a buff icon showing the QWE level, I'll add that on the OP as a possibility. Thanks for the feedback!

So, you think being able to tell the level of a summon useless? Apart from that obvious practical and consistency benefit, there is also the cosmetic value. The cosmetics may be fine ATM , but they can always be improved.

Pandas already has their own descriptions. omgwtf mighty pandas.
Or do you mean that you should see by clicking on them too? Can you do that with infernals? If that's what you mean then i want it if only to see a freakin' fire panda killing someone who almost got away.

I meant their unit names. Go into Single player, use ulti, and see their names on each level. On level 1, their names are: "Earth", "Fire", and "Storm Level 1" o.O
