+ Looks more etherealish (?)
+ Fits the item.
+ Looks like Ghost Scepter.
+ Warcraftish.
CON:
- Looks poisonous.
- Looks too wierd/magical for Ancient Weaponary

It doesn't look etherial at all! First it's too thin and i imagine Etherial blade more like a massive double hand weapon than this piece of stick. Also it doesn't look etherial it looks poisonous! These little green drops around it makes it a venomous sword.
And what the hell is wrong with the current Etherial Blade icon?

Why? It's a sword with a skull that has green smoke coming out of it's mouth and eyes. I say it's pretty badass- just as the item itself!

Also, current one is perfectly fine (at least I haven't seen any better).

It is more warcraftish than the current icon and looks more like an upgrade of Ghost Scepter as it uses the same "glowing" effect. This does also invalidate what Elmo1191 said; from what you say, Ghost Scepter is a "poisonous" Scepter because of these green drops which are exactly the same which the proposed icon uses, so it fits the ethereal theme at least as good as Ghost Scepter does. Also, it's an Agility item, so it's even more fitting if it's a smaller, maybe even one-handed weapon. You just can't be agile with a "massive double hand weapon". Such weapons don't allow you to do fast strikes.
All in all, I like it. T-Up.

I like the old one better, looks cooler.
Suggestions: Make the sword longer and thicker, maybe make a hilt that's really long like a bow. Maybe?

It somehow resembles ghost scepter but IMO, it's more poison-ish than ethereal-ish.

It's an agility weapon, it completely suits something light and one handed, it looks no more venomous than Ghost Staff, and the current one is low quality and doesn't fit in with war3's style particularly well.
