^Forcing them to not play -em is the best way for them to learn, IMHO

Agreed. If they are spoon fed they will not succeed. Then again, its not good to throw them too far into the deep end and scare em off. A good balance is needed, so Garena is perfect. Apart from a few stomps its usually low - mid skill.

I feel having more options is always better than being bound to one. The thread does say platforms and not platform.

Dont suggest bnet. I want to enjoy DIV games without the fear of having newcomers in the game.

Also, I suggested putting better platforms such as RGC or DLG on section for advanced/experienced players. Please read carefully next time.

I am just saying that the link Official DotA : AI Maps should get improved. Following the link you get tons of other links with titles not everyone will know what they are about.

Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I can't seem to post anywhere else or pm anyone. Is there a guide explaining what I have to do to be able to accomplish these things on the forums?

About the manual, video manual would be nice as well. Just about 2 mins dedicated to the basics, then a few about laning, ganking, farming, supporting, etc.
Nothing as complex as Luminous' guides though.
