Welcome to Pingus!´s guide to Puck, the faerie dragon, first of all, I have to say that english is not my native language, so if you see any spelling mistakes or grammar mistakes then feel free to correct them.

Why Puck?

Now you see, Puck is a pretty cool guy who doesnt afraid of anything one of the manliest heroes in the game, fuck, maybe as manly as Leoric and/or Axe, why is that you say? Well because he jumps into battle thanks to his BALLS, he then releases a ring of sheer manliness around him, which causes the enemies to shut up due to the fear it infects into them, then he proceeds to create coils of volatile manliness, with only his IMAGINATION, damn.
Oh, if he is being attacked he can also shift out of existence because fuck attackers that´s why.

Pros and Cons

Pros

First Skill is both a ganking and escaping tool
His second skill has damage and silence
His first skill helps you position his second one
Third skill is a compensation for his fragility (Note that Fragile =/= unmanly he is totally manly)
ultimate is an AoE ministun/stun with decent damage

Skill Usage



Orb is used to initiate your combo, escape surprise buttsex, or situations where you fucked up with the help of Phase Shift
NOTE: You are not running, just laughing in the face of death.



Rift is the second part of your combo, did that guy wanted to cast a spell on you?, Fuck him then.



Shift will help you laugh in the face of death via dodging projectiles and using your Orb/Shift/Jaunt combo.



Coil Is the last part of your damaging combo, it can be used to interrupt channeling spells (TP, SK´s ultimate, etc.).

I´m glad you are reading the Macho Size Guide (MSG), because Alt-Tab Miniguide is for people who do not have time to learn the awesomeness of a hero and rather just learn the basics. The MSG will fully explain how to use properly all of The Faerie Dragon´s skills.

Let´s meet puck.

15 + 1.7 Strenght
Which makes him fragile, but still manly as fuck. However the fact that he is fragile is compensated by Phase Shift


22 + 1.7
He has a decent starting agility which is something good, but has a bad gain. Which is something bad (No shit,Sherlock)


25 + 2.4
Here, your main attribute, your intelligence, your brain the source of your manliness (brain is manlier than muscle), your gain could be better though.

Health: 435, which means you are fragile, sort of.
Mana: 325, your starting mana can be used for 2 orbs (300 mana)

Damage: 38 - 49 (Not bad, not great though, but still kicks ass)
Armor: 2.1 (You dont need armor much, you can laugh in the face of death, altough the armor helps)

Affiliation: Sentinel (Manliest hero here)
Attack Animation: 0.5 / 0.8 (Try cancelling your animation*)
Casting Animation: 0.1 / 0.51 (Nice casting animation, rift does not use animation though.)
Base Attack Time: 1.7 (Standard BAT, but you know puck is awesome and manly as fuck so it had to be like this so he is balanced)
Movespeed: 295 (Your heavy balls make you kind of slow.)
Missile Speed: 900 (Kind of standard.)
Attack Range: 600 (The fucker is not dead after your combo? Though shit for him, he will be after some attacks even if he tries to run.)
Sight Range: 1800 / 1200 (Fact: real men have a night vision which is higher than 800, this way they can see when the fags enemies bitches come and laugh in the face of death when they attempt to kill you.)

Your manly arsenal
AKA Mad skillz yo.

This skills will make you get the kills (Fuck yeah rhyming).
But it is better if the carry gets them.

Illusory Orb

Sends one of his balls flying down a straight path damaging everything in its way. At any time during the life of the ball the Faerie Dragon may teleport up to it, taking its place. Deals 70/140/210/280 damage. 200 AoE, 3000 cast range, 1800 travel range.
Constant manacost of 150 and CD of 15 seconds.

• Damage type is magical
• The ball gives vision as it travels
• The orb dies after 3 seconds.
• The orb has 600 travel speed

Usage

• Harassing
• Killing
• Ganking

Harassing
Real men do not harass with their balls though, they mostly use their balls to kill or gank. It is better to harass with your attack since you are ranged.

Killing
Yes, you can kill with your balls , what is that? You are asking me "HOW I KILL WIT ORB?" well then you are probably thinking it is like this.
AIM THE FUCKING BALL AT HIM/HER.
Sir you are correct then, BUT you have to take into consideration that heroes have 25% magic resitance, if you are not good at math then that means they take 75% damage from your skills. So if you want to kill your target its HP must be a number of the following or one that is lower:
52/105/157/210

In simple words:
YOUR TARGET WILL DIE IF YOU HIT HIM/HER WITH YOUR BALL AND HE/SHE IS UNDER 52/105/157/210 LIFE LOL.

One more thing to consider IF YOU CAN, LEAVE THE KILLS TO THE CARRY, THEY NEED THE GOLD.

Ganking
"Gank him and fuck his life you will be fine", how many times have you heard that? I bet a lot, well that is because it really works ganking a hero provides benefits for you and your team, some of which are:

• Gold
• Experience
• One hero less for the other team
• Women
• Sex
• And AIDS if you use the previous two in a wrong way

Cool right? the only downside of ganking is that the Gold/Experience/Women/Sex/AIDS is shared amongst The Killers, no, not the band.
Now lets see, how to gank?

1. Hide in woods (so enemies wont see you, you can also just go rambo AND FUCK THEM ALL)
2. From your carefully selected position (or rambo zone if you may), you cast illusory orb, in the back/front of the enemy (wherever you can block him)
3. Cast wanning rift
4. Cast dream coil
5. Attack the enemy
6. block if your target attempts to escape
7. Kill target, or leave it to the carry.
8. ???
9. PROFIT, enjoy your Gold/Experience/Women/Sex/AIDS

Wanning Rift

Releases Puck's mystical manliness around him dealing damage and silencing enemies. Deals 60/120/180/240 damage. 400 AoE.
Manacost of 100/110/120/130 and CD of 18 seconds.

• Laughing in the face of Death

AKA Damaging
You know, waning is a word right?
It means:

1. To decrease gradually in size, amount, intensity, or degree; decline.
2. To approach an end.

See, you can wane your enemies, but how do you do it?

Well, after you have entered TEH BATTULFIELD with either Orb or Blink dagger (Which is not recommended, I will explain why later.) you wane your enemies, dealing some minor damage to them.

Now go to the other tabs to see how to wane properly.

Now Silencing, see it is the main use of waning rift besides waning, however your level one silence is kind of crap, it just silences for 0.1 seconds so you should max it ASAP (or max it after Orb if you are going for the orb build).

But, ask yourself a question, who should I wane? (AKA Who should I drop my manliness on?)

Well you should try to get all of your enemies in the rift, however If you can not do that then here is a priority list:

OMFG tier
Puck

Why?

Because he is fucking puck.

Oh shi- tier.
Initiators

Why?

Because else they might stun/disable you and your teammates. It is obviously better if you disable them before they cast their shit on your team.

D: Tier
AoE damage dealers

Why?

Because if you dont silence them, they will come fagging around and damage your team.

Tier
Heroes with single target spells that fuck you up

Why?

Because they may catch one of your bitches/teammates and fuck them up, now you dont want that, you are a loyal pimp/teammate.

Sometimes you will get into trouble, such as when you are about to gank, you use your orb, but then you realize that you wont kill them because, your faggot teammates dont do shit because they are faggots.

You then realize that you are fucked now. But wait, you only used your orb, which means you still have all of your others skills left (No shit, sherlock.)

Well here is what you do AFTER orbing in if you fucked up:

If you have blink dagger allready (Pro shit)

1. Wane them
2. Blink in direction to base if you can
3. else shift then dagger
4. asdf. You have succesfully escaped
   

Now here is what you do if you do not have dagger:

1. 1. Wane them
2. If they throw your stuns at you, you shift, dodging them.
3. Go towards your base
4. Juke them, try going near towers so they hesitate to kill you (Yeah right, kill you).
5. SUCCESS.

Phase Shift

Shifts the Faerie Dragon out of existence for a brief period, temporarily avoiding any further damage.

I appreciate the pun in your guide's title, but I can't take it very seriously with you cursing every ten words. It's funny, but I'd recommend a little less frequent use of curses to when you need to get a particular point across.

Skill build seems alright. One critique though, Illusory Orb is probably better gotten first instead of Phase Shift (which I get at 2 or 4). The reason for this is that you must have fast fingers to Phase Shift properly for spell dodge (which doesn't always happen), and Illusory Orb acts as a semi-blink for escaping/chasing heroes.

Hey there,
Very amusing guide but I am guessing that this guide is for those who wanna play Clan/Tourney matches seeing as the Core build involve fairly useless items [imo ur a sorry target for people to farm on if u dont even use jaunt properly] (dmg wise/team help this build sucks BALLS). I only play pubs in Garena but here is the usual build:

Treads - arcane would seem better for the team but seeing as you are only gonna be making int items ur mana pool is enormous.
Blink (only if u suck at using Jaunt+Phase and fog for juking/killing)
Agha / Dagon (depending on team )
Shivas / Dagon (depending on ur own farm )

The dagon in there is only if and i remind you only if u wanna farm faster than ur n00b carry. Dagon is not just for the KS but for maxing out ur damage output for a very petty amount of gold.

with this build done by the end of 30 mins as puck i have taken out an equally (if not better) farmed pudge 1v1 with amazing use of phase shift.

Phase at lvl 1 is not advisable because Orb with Jaunt = more chances to survive a first blood attempt, it may even turn the tide of the attempt.

For those new to Puck (but not Dota in general), keep Phase Shift in Auto-Cast it will save ur ass if ur able to avoid physical dmg. For the pro's it may just interrupt ur insane combo or fuck up the jaunt+ kill of the hero you were chasing

Combo partner

EarthShaker (YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND) - You orb in and while they staring at glowing ball ES jumps in and both of u spam the shit outta them. This combo can take out 2v5. Video Worthy Insanity .

You should mention that Phase Shift is extremely good against certain heroes early game (like Earthshaker, as you don't even have to manually use it, as soon as Fissure hits you, it automatically dodges the damage and stun) so against those heroes you should always get it at level 1.

This is a good guide, although it needs some work, I'd prefer an easier colour text as it makes the guide more readable. You can check out my guide if you would like to check out a format that's more easy to read.
