hey geb, sorry to say this but, upgrading midas is not a good idea, since today it does not pay for itself, with that total price of 5100 it is too expensive, with 500 meo gold you can buy cuirass,ethereal,mkb,or even a battlefury with that money.
i suggest consider buffing midas first by giving it more bonuses, or change its recipe completely.

just some silly idea
this one is based on earthshaker ultimate+ witch docter paralyzing cask , .. how bout this item, have a 25 sec cd transmute skills which actually bounce off every creeps. each enemy creeps, ull get like 25 gold( owh and u can even make it so that each creep it hits will take damage like 25 on normal lane creep, and 300 on summoned unit/ image? good for countering necronomicon rite? but the gold received from summoned unit is still 25!) and it could possibly bounce to friendly unit too.. but no bounty or damage to friendly unit! each unit could only bounce once! or for the global skill, make it so that the item have one skill which have like 60 second cd and once activated, for 10-15 second( im not good with this coz im not really sure how much is too much or how little is too little, so u decide) every bounty that any friendly hero made is share. not like splitted but everyone gained money for any kills made within this small time period? but not 100% the same amount, but like 50-75%? like i used this item, then killed some random creep and gained 53 gold, all my other team mates will receive like 25-26 gold!. or make the midas touch skill more cool like it has 13-18% chance to gain 50 gold per hit like as a passive skill.. or if u wanna make it like an active skill, make it like midas rage; for 5 sec, each strike u make to enemy creeps( not heroes coz they got like 2k hp) will give u 1-75 gold!.. cool down like 30 sec! just some ideas! |

this is really a cool item lol. Definately something for the semi-carry to get, as means for boosting himself(transmute) and the main-carry in teamfights(all for one)
Pros -a team-oriented midas that actually pays off - implement pls. -dota needs an item like this, so a fat semi-carry can actually buff the main-carry gold-wise -warcraftish, dotaish, fits-the-gameish -with this item, the main focus will be killing the enemy, not keeping in mind having the main-carry to lasthit Cons -making it easier to carry, putting heroes like spectre back in the game for real -could make a passive farmer rewarded for not joining teamfights(if it's global? - if not, move this to pros as giving carries a huge reason for joining fights) -all in all I think this item would have a very positive impact on the game, good work! |

I don't like the idea of the One for All! aura being global, give it a moderate to large area similar to Assault Cuirass and rework the numbers but I wouldn't make it global.
Also, personally I wouldn't want random number generation on it when it comes to things like bounty. I'd just make it so that anyone in an area gets 25% of the gold the killing hero got as bonus gold or something like that. |

^The idea of the aura being global was a required element in the Item competition I joined.
I can fully understand it just being a fixed aura, but that would defeat the purpose of what I originally intended. What I wanted to create was a support item that gave assistance not through stats, hp or the sort, but through gold. It would help by allowing the carry to gain more gold from their allies or the carry with this item boosting their team by helping them buy more luxury items quickly. The bounty bonus given currently after killing a creep is already random as it is though, I don't see an issue in giving a bonus bounty to allies on top of it.

But then again, Mjolinir is far better than Midas any day. I think that they should buff Maelstrom and scrap Mjolinir, might suggest that later =)
