As long as it involves politics (in your case, the Judiciary), then it's under the field of Political Science.
(Hai that I'm a PolSci major too) All of the books you said are of course usable. Some suggested readings: 1987 Constitution History of Philippine Judiciary some other books, perhaps a reference from American Judiciary I suggest you do an interview with those involved with Judicial proceedings, or a panel discussion with Government employees and even NGOs (CenPEG or CHR highly recommended). I hope I helped. |

About those sources, I found them at NBS just this morning. We're just going to submit a concept paper at our class facebook page (where our professor is going to check each concept paper later from 7AM-10AM). I have chosen Enlightenment and this one as my topics (I still lack one, though. We are required to have three topics zzz) Uhm... 1. Can you suggest me a good title about the Judiciary thing? I was thinking about something like "The Path of A Criminal". Sounds meh. 2. Philippine Constitution... sounds good. What kind of thesis statement should I make out of it (I mean.. what problems can I find at the constitution?) Thank you very much. Dunno how to repay you ![]() @Silvers-: Why do you ask?

2. Try to read Article VIII (Judiciary), read on how justice is administered in the Philippines. Also its methods of handling cases, proceedings and rule-making powers. Then read Article III (Bill of Rights) and/or possibly Human Rights Laws. Now see if the Constitutional provisions are visible, followed and completely supplement the rights of those involved. Again, You need more books. And as what our professors tell us in class, don't focus on the topic, but on the issues. Some possible issues for your topic: -People going to jail without due process. -Judiciary proceedings and trials taking a damn long time. -Passing judgements despite the lack of substantial pieces of evidence. -issue of "law not applying to all" (marginalization of rich and poor) And if you haven't thought of a 3rd topic, then simply make a "trash" topic only for filler. And make your favored topic among those three appear better-looking, so that it would have the highest chance of getting picked by your adviser. Good luck! And btw, I'm a senior lol on the verge of graduation

Thanks
![]() The two topics I've thought are "Enlightenment" and "Judicial System". The filler one was "Dictatorship". I hope my professor picks the second one because it has the most books, internet sources, and articles that I found. Old Good luck! Hope you graduate Thanks for the help!
