Item Creation Contest 3

CURRENT PHASE: 2
Registration Closed, Into the grouping section

STATUS

Phase 1 (January 7th - January 14th): Registration is opened, anyone can apply of becoming a contestant. Judge candidates can still apply if slots arent filled yet. In this phase, contestants also have the time to start making the item for the Elimination round

Phase 2 (January 15th - January 21st): Registration closed, contestants must finish their item for the elimination round in the end of this phase

Phase 3(January 22nd - January 27th): End of elimination round, judges can start judging and MUST be finished this phase. Finalists decided, Final round announced

Phase 4(January 28nd - February 4th): Finalists start to make their item for the final round and MUST be finished in this phase

Phase 5(February 5th - February 10th): Final round ended, finalist must submit their final item. Judges starts their job and MUST be finished this phase.

Last Phase(February 11th): Contest over, Winner decided and the scores announced

RULES:

Contestants must:

Contestants who want to participate have to send a request via PM to the host. In Their PM, They have to send the link to their entry.
AND

All contestants have to fulfil the main challenge completely. Otherwise they either wont be added.

Judges must:

Send a PM to the host stating that they want to become a judge.
AND

Have at least 200 posts in suggestion forum.
AND
Have a positive judging history (I will look at previous reviews and if I see problems I'll make a short test)

ROUND SYSTEM:

Contestants will be divided into several groups depends on the number of contestants. Placing system is dice-roll, so it's totally random. When the Elimination Round ended, judging started, and the winner AND runner up from each group will proceed into the Final Round. Final round's system is just the same as our common system, create your item and judges will decide the winner.

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT:

This special rewards is given to the most popular item in this contest. Contestants, judges, or even visitors can vote for ONE item only. The one who get the most vote will win the reward.

The Challenge:

ELIMINATION ROUND:

Create a BASIC ITEM

Basic item is considered as an item that needs no recipe. For example Boots of Speed, Ironwood Branch, Ring of Regeneration are basic items. Even Sacred Relic is a basic item. So it's not about the price

Restriction:
Do not create a consumable item. Consumables are item that can be consumed and wore out. For example Tangoes, Clarity Potions, Salves, even TP and Bottle considered as consumables.

If you disregard the main challenge, you'll be disqualified.

OPTIONAL CHALLENGE:
Your item's price below or equal to 500

OR

Your item's price above or equal to 2500

Bonus point for complying: +20 points

-60 points for not complying.

Elimination Round's Rubric:

Contestants in Elimination Round will be judged after this rubric:

Main Challenge -100
Creativity: -60
Judges will have critical consideration here. We will judge your creativity, how will this item take role in the battle, and other else.

Balance: -40
Since your item is basic, balance is highly required

P.S To the Host
Creating an original and creative Basic Item is VERY HARD imo, since the current basic items have it pretty much covered.

But I'll still try and so should other contestants

Chest

A chest for carrying extra equipment, it's also responsible for the high levels of courier unemployment

Switch Inventory (active)

Removes all items in current inventory and opens up a secondary inventory
Only the following items can be stored in the secondary inventory:
- Clarity Potion
- Healing Salve
- Ancient Tango of Essifation
- Bottle (all forms)
- Observer and Sentry Wards
- Dust of Appearance
- Animal and Flying Courier
- Scroll of Town Portal
- Smoke of Deceit
When the secondary inventory is open any boots the owner currently has in the primary inventory are automatically transferred to the secondary inventory, however new boots cannot be placed in the secondary inventory manually
Switching between inventories does interrupt current movement orders
Automatically switches inventory back upon receiving hero damage (will switch back even if hero is stunned or otherwise disabled)
Reduces movement speed by 30 (fixed, not percentage) while open
When dropped, the items inside remain inside the Chest. If sold, the items are dropped on the ground beside the hero. If destroyed, the items inside appear on the ground where the Chest was.

Note on Boots Interaction

If more than one pair of boots are present in the hero's inventory then the boot that will be kept follows the following order of precedent: Boots of Travel > Arcane Boots > Power Treads > Phase Boots > Tranquil Boots > Boots of Speed

A powerful sword that harnesses the winds around it, speeding up the bearer's frame considerably and allowing him to harness the rogue trails of air for his own purposes.

Streamline [Passive]
Wind Surge [Active]

STREAMLINE [PASSIVE]

Activates once the bearer has been moving for at least 2 seconds, and gives the following effects.
Increases the bearer's attack speed by 4% every second. IAS cap of +40% IAS.
Grants 1 damage for every 30 points of distance moved in the last 7 seconds. Has a damage cap of 140.
Damage and IAS bonuses start reducing at 10 damage/sec and 4% MS/sec if the caster stops moving for over 0.8 seconds.

WIND SURGE [ACTIVE]

Grants +35% MS for the next 4 seconds.
Has a cooldown of 12, and a manacost of 40.

The Wind Cutter: A sword type thingy, every time the bearer moves, the sword gains damage. +1 damage per 10 distance moved in the last 4/6/8 seconds.

No optional challenge? Boring...

And @GEBnaman, it's actually not so hard if you think it in reverse way with how you make a recipe. I mean, think like making OoV from EoS, Talisman of Evasion from Butterfly, etc.

And @Kira', srsly needs some optional challenge. I already see thousands of item like Orb of Corruption in coming.

Don't worry guys, basic item is not so hard. It doesn't mean your item must be weak. Even Sacred Relic IS a basic item. So try your creativity

@NoThInG: I'll add the optional challenge now, an idea just pop up on my mind lol

^No >_> Basic items are basic items only if they require no recipe to make them. Ghost Scepter is a basic item. You can add special abilities.
