Default [Tweak] Nortrom, the Silencer


Old Silencer: Silencer - DotA Hero Details

Changes are in green.

Curse of the Silent

Afflicts a target area with the Curse of the Silent. The target will lose hp and mana per second until it casts a spell. Lasts 10 seconds.

Mana Cost: 105/115/125/135
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Level 1- (7.5 hp/2.5 mana) + (0.1x Nortrom's int hp/mana) per second
Level 2- (14 hp/4 mana) + (0.2x Nortrom's int hp/mana) per second
Level 3- (20 hp/5 mana) + (0.3x Nortrom's int hp/mana) per second
Level 4- (25 hp/5 mana) + (0.4x Nortrom's int hp/mana) per second


Comments: I changed this skill from "fixed numbers" to "fixed + based on intelligence numbers". This will have synergy with Last Word and Global Silence.


Maths

Old CotS (priority skill):

Nortrom lvl 1 - 100 hp/50 mana
Nortrom lvl 3 - 200 hp/100 mana
Nortrom lvl 5 - 300 hp/150 mana
Nortrom lvl 7 - 400 hp/200 mana

New CotS (priority skill, without items):

Nortrom lvl 1 - 96 hp/46 mana
Nortrom lvl 3 - 192 hp/92 mana
Nortrom lvl 5 - 293 hp/143 mana
Nortrom lvl 7 - 394 hp/194 mana

As you can see, the numbers are almost similar, but it seems like a nerf because of the duration. However it is a buff because when you purchase some intelligence items, CotS will do more damage. After you will see how powerful CotS will be with his new Global Silence.

Level 1- Lasts 0.75 seconds.
Level 2- Lasts 1.5 seconds.
Level 3- Lasts 2.25 seconds.
Level 4- Lasts 3 seconds.

Comments: Now it will steal 1 intelligence from enemies which die under the effect of Curse of the Silent, even when they aren't within 900 range.

Sounds good to me, but personally I'm not liking the new Icon for Last Word, I mean sure the current one is... random, but this one is... lack-luster.

And I wouldn't label this as a Remake, but more of a Tweak.

For ulti's aghanim upgrade, give only one of them. Both are way too strong.

T-Up for last word.

For CotS, I like the concept but the number is quite powerful. Sanity eclipse => 8/9/10 of int DIFFERENCE while this is 5 of YOUR int.

Ok, I changed the number factor from 0.2/0.3/0.4/0.5 to 0.1/0.2/0.3/0.4.

Cots is already a damn powerful spell and doesn't need another buff. Passive change is ok. Ulti buff is meh. Global silence is already very strong, and just needs a better CD. The temporarily stolen intelligence is not needed.

Agha's should only shorten CD, not also silence items. This is the privilege of doom.

CotS is nice,only the ultimate and that weakling GoW need a buff.
I like the Aghanim's idea (especially the cd decrease).Also CotS stealing int from dying units that sounds pretty logical to me.

But I deffinetly don't like the icon for last word,it's like "last wish" or "last wish paper" or something :s

No, it isn't. In high level games, people still learn "Glaives + 1 Last Word + Stats" and skip CotS until they can (level 21).

Remove the item silence. Overall its a good idea. Curse is now a viable skill.

this heroes name is silencer yet he dont have best silence(doom does)
so silence on item is a must-have for this hero

Cots remake was good, as well as 3rd skill, how you incorporate COTS at it. Ill t-up on those skills.

Global Silence steal int is kinda null for me.

he is imba,everytime he casts global silecne he get int and if 5v5 he will get 25 int per one spell!

T-Up!!!! Love it, love it, love it!
Both CotS and Last Word changes are awesome. It doesn't really change the spell early but makes it effective/damaging later as well.
However, I don't agree with 2 things:
1) 80 sec cd, that's ridiculously low even with Aghanim's.
2) Int stealing for a time period is two-edged. Its purpose isn't only for the hero to gain some, but that the enemy to lose it as well. You just simply don't exploit it in your suggestion, because it only means int heroes lose minor damage. All enemies lose some of their manapool, but it doesn't affect non-int heroes at all since none of the opposing team can cast a spell under silence anyway.
How about stealing the same amount for longer time (3/4/5 isn't that significant, make it at least 2x that long) but restoring the original manacost - or even increase it a bit? It's really not that big of a problem for him and why lower it anyway when you gain manapool from stolen int? It's another synergy with CotS and Glaives.
