Inspired by this guy Spider-man's hero costume =P, but inspired not by any of the suggestion's effects, just the idea to use Blademail as a component. =D
Here it goes.
Energy Booster 1000
Returns any damage you take to the unit that dealt it.
Half of the returned damage burns the mana of the one that dealt it. The amount burnt restores the mana of the wielder.
Damage is returned as pure damage
Lasts 5 seconds, costs 25 mana, and has a 22 second cooldown
An example of how it works (or how I perceived it )
Hero A wields Soul-Fort and gets into a team fight and so activates Fortitude.
Hero X and Y attack Hero A.
Any damage that X and Y deal to A will be returned to them.
Lets say X,Y always deal 50 Damage per attack.
They attack 4 times in 5 seconds = 200 damage dealt to A
Half of 200 = 100 and X and Y lose that much Mana.
Hero A gains 100 Mana.
Removed Planeswalker's Cloak
Added Energy Booster to Recipe
Reduced Recipe Price
Overall Price remains the Same

Uh. It won't really be popular on carries because they would rather farm dps items over defensive items if they already have an escape/defense mechanism (Blink/Manashield), only heroes I can see who could use this is Alchemist, a tank carry -- and maybe centaur if they give him farm.
If I were to use blademail in a recipe, it would probably give a return aura to the hero and allied units, like Furion's from the ladder.
Null - Concept is good, but is somewhat situational.
