Led by the Orcish Champion Grom Hellscream and fueled by the demonic blood of the Pit Lord Mannoroth, the Fel Orc Army laid waste to the elven deity Cenarius and his troops. After being banished by the Warchief Thrall and later set free of Mannoroth's hold, Grom's main force rejoined the Horde. Some were not so eager to let go of such power. Under the command of Grom's most Senior Officer and first cousin; Mogri Felblade, led a small regiment of half orc, half demon riders continued to pillage and annihilate everything in their path. Mogri Felblade specializes in pillaging, causing destruction, and leaving nothing in his wake. The Fel Orc Raiders are nomadic, ruthless and fear only their commander Mogri. These warriors find comfort only in chaos and pose a great threat to all living beings.



Demonic Blade (Hotkey:E)
Send a fiery blade arcing toward a unit or location, prolonging the pain of any unfortunuate victim in its path. Range increases per level.

Level 1 - Deals 75 damage. Gains 4(25) bonus gold for every unit(Hero) that dies from Demonic Blade.
Level 2 - Deals 150 damage. Gains 8(50) bonus gold for every unit(Hero) that dies from Demonic Blade.
Level 3 - Deals 225 damage. Gains 12(75) bonus gold for every unit(Hero) that dies from Demonic Blade.
Level 4 - Deals 300 damage. Gains 16(100) bonus gold for every unit(Hero) that dies from Demonic Blade.
Casting Range: 600/650/700/750 units per level.
Mana Cost: 90/105/120/135
Cooldown: 12 seconds.


Framework: The blade itself would look like Silencer's regular attack, but bigger/fiery. The Demonic Blade acts exactly like Rexxar's Axes (i.e: how they curve out then come back). Demonic Blade would just make a complete circle (oval,orbit,etc.) and have fast animation regardless of the point you choose.

Notes:
-Damage type is Magical.
-Can hit invisible units.
-Can also destroy Trees.


Noxious Breath (Hotkey:F)
Mogri's rabid mount releases a deadly neurotoxin into Mogri's enemy, weakening knees and rotting armor.

Level 1 - Slows target by 20%, -.75 armor/sec for 2 seconds. -Armor remains additional 1 seconds.
Level 2 - Slows target by 30%, -1.0 armor/sec for 3 seconds. -Armor remains additional 2 seconds.
Level 3 - Slows target by 40%, -1.25 armor/sec for 4 seconds. -Armor remains additional 3 seconds.
Level 4 - Slows target by 50%, -1.5 armor/sec for 5 seconds. -Armor remains additional 4 seconds.
Mana Cost: 70/90/110/130
Cooldown: 30/28/26/24


Framework: Mogri's mount would emit a noxious cloud at the beginning of the spell. There are 2 debuff effects at work here: 1) a slow 2) - armor. A poison cloud would puff from the target every time Infectious Bite reduces armor.

Notes:
-Target regains 10% MS/second.
-Target loses armor/sec for the duration of the slow, then -armor value remains for 1/2/3/4 additional seconds.


Merciless Instincts (Passive)
Decades of pillaging and murder has given the raider several adaptive skills. His raider roots give Mogri the ability to stop any hostile attacker in his tracks

Level 1 - 10% chance to Ensnare enemy attackers for .5 seconds.
Level 2 - 12% chance to Ensnare enemy attackers for .75 seconds.
Level 3 - 14% chance to Ensnare enemy attackers for 1 second.
Level 4 - 16% chance to Ensnare enemy attackers for 1.25 seconds.
Mana Cost: Passive
Cooldown: *See Notes.


Framework: For the Ensnare, a net will be cast over the unit that is attacking Mogri, immobilzing them and .5/.75/1/1.25 seconds.

Notes:
-*Cannot Ensnare more than once per .75 seconds.
-Ensnare does not prevent units from attacking/casting, only movement.


Reckless Assault(Hotkey:R)
Mogri readies himself for a dangerous assault. He pushes his mount into a full sprint and tramples enemies he runs through. Gives ability "Reckless Charge"

Level 1 - Gains +10% MS. Enemy units trampled by Mogri are pushed aside 100 units and dealt 100 damage, slows by 30% for 2 seconds. Lasts 6 seconds.
Level 2 - Gains +20% MS. Enemy units trampled by Mogri are pushed aside 150 units and dealt 150 damage, slows by 30% for 2 seconds. Lasts 6 seconds.
Level 3 - Gains +30% MS. Enemy units trampled by Mogri are pushed aside 200 units and dealt 200 damage, slows by 30% for 2 seconds. Lasts 6 seconds.
Mogri gains Reckless Charge, loses all other abilities while under Reckless Assault.
Mana Cost: 100/150/200
Cooldown: 120/110/100


Framework: Ignores unit pathing. Mogri becomes a steamplow, pushing his way around the battlefield. He loses all other abilities while under Reckless Assault except for Reckless Charge, a sub-skill.

Reckless Charge (Hotkey:C)
Mogri focuses on a single target and charges directly at it.

Level 1 - Deals 200 damage and stuns for 1 second.
Level 2 - Deals 250 damage and stuns for 1.5 seconds.
Level 3 - Deals 300 damage and stuns for 2 seconds.

Mana Cost: 50/75/100
Casting Range: 300/400/500

Framework: Mogri slams into his target, stunning it. Mogri can cast Reckless Charge anytime during Reckless Assault. If used before the duration of Reckless Assault is up, Reckless Assault is canceled and his abilities return.

I like this hero. Demonic Blade, Infectious Bite, and Reckless Charge seem original and (mostly) balanced. I'll just throw a couple suggestions in the ring.

One, everybody loves pictures. Add them.

Two, Merciless Impulse seems a little OP. A two second stun, like a reverse bash, is WAI too strong. I think, if the stun was a root instead, it would work quite well.

Three, Infectious Bite is also OP with damage, armor reduction, and slow. You can have all three, but decrease the severity of the slow significantly, and the armor reduction by a tiny bit.

Anyway, if this post helped at all, your opinion on my hero would be much appreciated! (Link in mah sig!)

Talking Further Information

We are reworking infectious bite, it is now an orb type attack that is autocastable and stacks up to 5 times. Lower mana cost and 3/2/1/0 cooldown.

Merciless Impulse does not stun attackers, for that that would way too effective. Instead for the first 3 levels it simply nets for 1 second, essentially only effecting pathing. Attacks can still be made and spells can still be cast. At level 4, the % chance to occur stays at 16, but has a chance to root for 2 seconds.

The Raider is meant as a counter type hero to several commonly played hero types, namely ranged assault as his passive and ultimate can reduce the distance between, allowing for him to get into melee range to stack Bite debuffs, and attempt to finish off with demonic blade. If cast quick enough however, demonic blade extends the armor reduction debuff caused by infectious bite allowing for another kill attempt.

More changes to come, all input is appreciated and encouraged

You should rethink the buff-prolonging. I'm not sure about its codability. Need a mech person in here.

Wow, Epic hero idea!

I could see this being an intricate part of the already delicate balanced gameplay of Dota. A couple questions, if Mogri is meant to be a low int/mana hero and his Infectious bite is stackable, why is so it mana costly? It seems like you would be spending all of your mana just getting the spell to fully stack.

Besides that he seems really cool! I'd really want to play this guy

PS : Awesome Model! I loved the Orc campaign

Hmm interesting, all of his abilities are really cool. The numbers seem about right, but I completely agree with Dotagamer, normally stackable spells similar to Infectious bite have lower mana costs.

I really like the Demonic Blade / Ult, I think those are abilities that have not been implemented and would add a new aspect to the game. Pyro says hes a counter type hero and I DEF agree! I would play him if I got the chance, i've actually been hoping for someone to use the raider model =D

Wow fast reply, I like the changes!!

I can really get into this hero, everything he does is a raider based ability, that is so cool! When you say immobolize, referring to your passive ability, does that mean a stun? or is he just unable to move? Because a 1/2 second stun seems a little OP =/

Besides that this guy seems awesome, I wish I could play him right now!

I put a thread in the programming forum - Anyone with experiance or who is willing to help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

I understand the basics in worldedit but not enough to properly code these semi complex abilities, but i am fairly certain they can be coded and made to look nice =)

archer u are really 'tarded.... making multiple accounts at least CHANGE names so they are not similar.... spamming with the links in the discussion section and then bumping the thread with "just-an-overwhelmed-thread-passer" makes this thread even worse and as such i even won't bugg to look at idea for which u need so poor tricks to make it readable....

Huh? This is bad, really wothless add.

Skills are fine - the ensnare is just a next kind of bash.

Overall, quite nice skills. But I wont speak about numbers now.

Ah, horrible icons. :/

Yup, the icons are terrible, for the good or the bad I'm not going for flash ATM but finding a good skillset to work toward his role. Sure the glyph feature is minor, but it makes sense, as he is unable to pillage anything while structures have dramatically increased armor.

BTW, how can i set up the page more similar to yours, adding the icons and the attribute table at the top of your page?
*The icons from the screenshots are 100% temporary and are there just to represent a basic understanding of where each spell is located.

Pyro.Archer. and I wanted to create a hero (that hasn't been incorporated into DotA yet) and the Fel Raider came to mind. We feel his stats are balanced, as well as his skills. We are looking for suggestions/comments/criticisms!
