A Scythe that resurrects people killed with it, but this time, they're on your side.

Hyperstone (2100)
Recipe (700)
  • + 30 STR
  • + 20 Attack Damage
  • + 60 Attack Speed
  • + Soul Corruption (Passive)
Soul Corruption
  • Description: The Scythe Of Unholy Resurrection does a minor damage directly to the soul when hit with it. Deals 20 Damage per Second and slow the target's Movement Speed by 25% (15% for Ranged) and Attack Speed by 15% (10% for Ranged) for 5 seconds. If an enemy hero under the effect of this buff dies, the hero is resurrected for 10 seconds to fight for the wielder's cause.
  • The Soul Corruption effect is a buff-placer.
  • The resurrected hero acts as a summoned unit under the wielder's control.
  • The resurrected hero deals 40% damage and takes 200% damage.
  • The resurrected hero cannot cast any spell.
  • Denied Allied Heroes are resurrected as well.
  • I realized that there are only two STR oriented high level items, Satanic and Heart Of Tarrasque, none of which would provide Attack Speed, which is a necessity for STR based Carry Heroes. The 20 extra Attack Damage, the 5 extra STR, and the 5 extra Attack Speed is added after buying the recipe to make it worthwhile to go for the item apart from the buff-placer. Both Reaver and Hyperstone are costly items which requires careful farming, and therefore, these were added to make it worthwhile.

I am currently new to the suggestions section so any fixing and balancing tips would gladly help a lot. If it seems too much imbalanced or too much useless, then again, please post and give me hints on how I can make the item more useful or can balance it.

seems... useless. why would anyone get this over heart or satanic that are so so much better in the late game. plus, one hyperstone lower cost than your double staff and orb of venom is cheaper and gives more AS

so the ressurected hero is not a hero it will just rise like an illusion of the hero but not the hero itself?

Yes. It will be an illusion/summoned unit. You are not allowed to cast spells or anything. For an item to resurrect the actual hero would be a bit too much imbalanced XD.

Ok Ok, fine XD. I thought it would be too much imbalanced if ranged heroes wielded it, but then again, it costs 6000, and every 6000 Gold costing item is supposed to show TITS, aren't they?
The real reason to fetch one of these would be for STR carry heroes and for AGI carry heroes on the more fragile side. Plus, the slow it provides gives an alternate route for some heroes to take instead of going Eye Of Skadi (e.g. Terrorblade).
Err... no one said anything about the Soul Corruption ability :/.

I'm thinking it should be just like Skadi or Orb Of Venom, that is, Orb on Melee but Buff on ranged heroes. Would that do?

IMO, this should be an INT item.
It could be AGI, but there are many of them, and this could help casters to have some DPS or support from dead enemies passive skills.

If this is changed into an INT item, I may T-UP.
But, T-NULL for now.

Quite expensive and not worth it, the effects are boring except for the resurrection part.

- a summoned unit means it will be destroyed be Purge? or get hit hard by Destroyer? and how about Hex
- the resurrected hero should be a carrier with huge damage or a super tanker to get the summon units strong enough and worth 6000g, or else, it'll die very quickly -> your item will not excel every time while it's too pricey.
