As we all know, the Aegis is, although not purchaseable, listed in the Protectorate items.

Unlike most people here I don't want it to be gone, but instead I want it to be more userfriendly.

What I suggest is that wehen you CLICK the Aegis in the shop (I.e. you try to buy it, as you play for the first time) It creates a ping on the minimap that shows Roshans area.
Only visible for the player that clicked the aegis ofcourse.

Maybe even with a small -tips like message like:
"You have to defeat the ancient creature that lives here *PING* to get this item"

Btw would be quite good if you could make it show that there is aegis or cheese at roshan...I mean it pings if it is aegis and it doesn't ping if there is cheese at roshan...

Mmm, although this idea sounds good for beginning players, I don't think it is in any way necisary. I myself had quite some problems with recipe items when I got started, but never did I try to buy aegis. I mean, it's one of the few basic things newbie DO understand, and I don't think there is much more information needed.
But anyways, it wouldn't hurt.

Although i suggest another shop for passive items (Items that aren't bought) like aegis and cheese or maybe create another code that a 10% chance an item from an item pool would drop from neutrals (items would be new and is not that imbalance) and add them to the shop and give details about it (I suggest the book shop)

How can it be a waste and be worth it at the same time?

Anyways T-Up. And add a "buying" cd of 10 secs to the aegis so players don't spam pings, even if only they can see them. The -tips msg is a good idea aswell.
