Runic Mark
  • Puts a mark on the target enemy, reducing its Armor by 8 and making all allies recover 20% of the damage dealt to the marked target (including ranged attacks and spells). If an enemy hero dies under the effects of the mark, the unit dealing the killing blow recovers 10% of its max HP (of the ally, not the enemy)
  • Last 5 seconds, 25 seconds cooldown
  • The hero wearing the glove does NOT get the 20% bonus lifesteal


Basically an item version of a really powerful skill, also giving an upgrade to Medallion of Courage. Lots of potential for teamplay use, but also greatly benefits the one buying it.

Nothing but the skill is set on stone. Any tweaks or suggestions are encouraged. Numbers can and most probably will be changed.

For all of us who can't read minds, could you share which part of the item do you consider particularly Overpowered? Because it's fairly weaker than the hero counterpart, and it can be made even weaker with just a number change.

T-down.

Medallion of Courage is a pretty powerful low/mid tier item especially for it's cost. I do not want to see it as a build up to another powerful item.

Medallion of Courage should lose it's effectiveness as the game drags on, not become better by upgrading it to another item.

^ This and Bloodbath also. I won't say OP, but rather unbalanced. I mean, with low numbers it's useless, and after some increment it becomes too powerful. I can't think of numbers that would be fine for this.

And it isn't only arguement against this item. We have HoD in game. If IF implements this, we have 20%LS/8armor/+100%MR item with powerful ganking ability and 20%/5armor item with underused Dominate ability. Mortred says NO to HoD and buys YOUR item, surely, because she doesn't like dragging useless creep with her, but she'll be glad to improve her AS.

I can't really express in some words but I can say a thing about this item.

Numbers are messy. Though you said it might be prone to change.

Also, 25 second CD is a bit ... low?

So it's a mix between Track and Bloodbath? I like the ability and I can see its potential, especially when its used on tanky heroes.

Armor reduction and allied lifesteal needs reduction (vlads is only 16%). The fact that it includes Spell damage may also make it too strong (imagine Lina, Lion or Pudge). Maybe increase the CD or cost?

I think it just needs balancing work, because the idea in itself is quite feasible in the current environment. It would certainly ruffle up some feathers and would change the game up a bit.
