This hero is all about Movement. Control and manipulation of it, as well as insane speed.




Flash
Accelerator

Background Story:Flash is feared by his people for his bizzare control over time and speed, able to bounce people and objects around by his will. Moving so fast he rips apart the world as he runs, he has become corrupted by whatever seeps in the cracks left in his wake. The scourge have welcomed him with open arms, but try not to get too close. A useful weapon, but uncontrolled.

  • Targets a single unit, has a cast range of 700, everything between Flash and that unit takes half damage and half knockback, drectly away from flash, the primary unit takes the full damage + knockback
Flash - (Active)
____________________How Flash got his name. He dashes forward at great speed, leaving a damaging wake of sonic booms behind him.

Notes:
  • Travels at 700 units per second, so at level 4, it takes 2 seconds to travel the whole distance. Either side of flash drops mini explosions doing the stated damage in 100 AoE.
Touching the void - (Passive)
____________________As flash runs he creates small tears in the world and something gets in from the void, hungering for flesh. Whenever Flash goes more than 400 units in one second, he starts to summon units.

Notes:
  • This triggers once Flash has moved more than 400 units in a single second, and then stays on until he moves less than 200. E.G haste rune, ultimate, force staff - anything, and then as long as he keeps moving quickly, it carries on.

    The horrors are untargetable, invulnerable units. They follow Flash until they come within range of a unit, and then break off to attack it. When that unit dies, they vanish. Black tinted small sattyr - like a black tinted riki.

    Deactivates when Flash moves less than 200 units in one second, and has the listed cooldown before it can be activated again. When active flash has a purple glow.

    Spawns once every 150 units that Flash moves past the initial trigger, so for a level 4 Flash, it would activate after the first 400 units, and then spawn 6 times over the course of the rest of the charge.

    300 seek AoE for the horrors.
Recellerator - (Active)
____________________Flash drops a sphere of energy that accelerates anything that comes into contact with it. Anything that touches the sphere is either flung through it, or back in the direction it came from and 600 units/second + initial speed, for 2 seconds.

Notes:
  • The effect is cumulative. Gains a subskill when learnt that flips all current recellerators to either push units in the same or opposite directions.

    Best described with the image below.

    What ideally I would like is this to interact with other movement skills. If mirana leaps through this, she gets slammed forward crazy fast, if void timewalks through it, he ends up halfway across the map. (think the weird interaction between greater bash and timewalk that happened a while ago - there's a youtube video, except this is deliberate, and equally awesome) Pipe dream would be to have it interact with dummy units of spells - mirana could shoot an arrow through the recellerator, and have it gain speed and go screaming off for miles. I'm not sure how codable that is. I have a couple of ideas for the speed + speed interaction - one could store each hero's current speed vector as a variable refreshed every .03 seconds, say, and then just add the numbers for the duration, triggered movement in a usual manner - this obviously wouldn't work for the arrows etc, but they should be a case of moving the dummy unit as a separate event, I think.

    If none of this is possible, but I think it could be, then the numbers can be buffed to compensate for not being able to use current speed as an input for fun shenanigans. The spirit of it is essentially you can set up recellerators, use them to either control enemies, dropping them in front of them and then switching to force your fleeing opponent back, or as an awesome escape mechanism.

Synergies:

One would hope they're clear, this hero is meant to chase.

So you have gust + recellerator (bounce)

Drop the ulti behind your opp, switch it, slam them into it with gust, they come screaming towards you (and your team)

Flash + gust - run behind, drop your gust on the opp, back into your team.

Recellerator + passive = swarms of dudes. Similarly passive + flash

Double recellerators + team = team blink to a different lane (ish). If the opposing team follows, they're going to have a swarm of angry horrors to deal with

Drop a recellerator, use it to bounce up a cliff, switch it to bounce as opponent is about to run into it - clean escape.

All in all I think this hero would be epic fun to play. Open to suggestions for icons/hero model etc, as I think they're pretty good, but could well be better if someone has a better knowledge of icons etc than me.

If something is confusing, please say and I'll do my best to clarify.

If Flash = Waveform, then he's not bringing anything new to the game.

Touching the Void is silly and overly complicated. Summon just 1 at a time and make the effect slightly more powerful if you NEED to have this. The description is also really confusing.

Recellerator - This I like! I feel that he doesn't need 'Flash' if he's got this too. Cast it at your feet and Bam! Waveform! But it's a LOT more interesting.

Gust is okay. I really only see it being useful for pushing units into and out of Recellerator, but that has some interesting possibilities. I'd think about that relationship more.

i would change touching the void and Recellerator

imagine him being a super boxer. according to physics, super fast punches > than heavy punches anyday (example: bullet).

replace touching the void with gauntlet (increases attack damage)
his ulti reduces all his spell CD by 80%.

Just a thought.

^Doing physics, part of the reason the bullet's so powerful is that it has high force over little surface area... :P

Skill 1: I guess it's alright. The synergy is what really makes it shine. Okay.

Skill 2: Waveform. Change it man :/ Haha I made a running based hero for CTH XVI and so I know for a fact there are lots of different things you could have done with this.

Skill 3: I don't really see any synergy or workings with this in the skillset other than activating it. What do the horrors do? Do they slow, speed you up, drain MS, deal more damage per hit, reduce armor?? Do they just hit, how much damage do they deal, their BAT?? I don't really like this skill, not to mention it's super vague.

Skill 4: LOL Love this skill! This is really the gem in this. I'm thinking it might be a bit imba but otherwise, love it. Good job haha.

Hum, I guess I've not explained it brilliantly for the void, and yeah I guess flash is just waveform.. but it fits perfectly. We have multiple blinks, multiple storm bolts, multiple many other things. How about if I changed it to a heal, or had the AoE spread out behind him?

For touching the void:

as soon as he moves faster than a certain amount (haste rune, recellerators, flash) he starts spawning units that chase behind him. Then as soon as those spawned units are within 400 range of an enemy, they break of and attack. So he, say, flashes past a lone enemy, as he's running past, the horrors appear and start attacking the guy he's chasing.

Each horror has the % listed slow in the skill, and they each stack - like meepo's slow does. So you build up a great big wave of horrors, and then they gangrape whatever they come into contact with first, and slow it to a crawl.

In terms of BAT/ whatever - I don't really know tbh. I have no idea how powerful/weak the spell would be with its current limitations. The reason I wanted it to summon lots of the little horrors is purely eye candy awesomeness - he builds up a big pile of them chasing him, and then flashes forward, the horrors stream after him.. It looks epic in my head.

The model is in the skill description - a black tinted small sattyr. Nevermore tint on riki, basically.
