Weird question

What is that little lantern-thing that is left after destroying the World Tree? It can be seen on this picture: http://i56.tinypic.com/2irwydz.jpg

I've noticed that after the game has ended it is slowly going under the ground. What is the reason of placing it and purpose of it technically? Serious answers plz.

Ps. Found no better section to placing it than "Advanced mechanics".

It might just be a part of the model's death animation.

However, how is the world tree destroyed when the Sentinel won, as show in the picture? I'm curious.

look at the frozen throne from the map, it's also destroyed

i think it's destroyed single handedly by alchemist

because if alche use ulti exactly when winning/losing, he will not paused
