Jo'Jaska is a powerful chaser, ganker, and mid-game carry that disables foes in several unique ways. You have to be a little clever to play him as his main power comes from a skill that is melee range!




Ice Troll Champion
Jo'Jaska Iceaxe

Background Story: Many prophecies surrounded Jo'Jaska's birth, whose name even means "Foretold One". As with most prophecies they were somewhat cryptic, but the ones given to this troll were as varied as they were numerous. One claimed that he must be loved before he was hated, another that he would save his people from eternal torment, and the strangest one, given by a soothsayer that had long been considered to have lost the inner eye; if he did not die before his 28th birthday, he would live forever. As Jo'Jaska grew up, he became a powerful warrior and hunter, using his natural skill and the voodoo in his family's heirloom axe, and was even awarded the title of Tribe Champion. However, Lich King had been watching Jo'Jaska and had finally decided to take him as his own. On the troll's 28th birthday, he entered Jo'Jaska's mind and drove him mad, telling him that unless he murdered everyone in his own tribe, they would be doomed forever. Feeling no other option, he slaughtered his kin and in sorrow killed himself as well. The Lich King then raised Jo'Jaska and from then on he became a hated Champion of the Lich King and thus fulfilling the prophecies surrounding him.

Notes:
  • This ability forces the hero to make an attack, ignoring attack cooldown and attack speed. (just like how Legion Commander's Moment of Courage works)
  • Hex Strike can trigger off of this ability.
  • Successive Skull Cracks add an additional 1% extra damage taken and refreshes the duration.
  • Stacks 5 times.
  • Stacking a headache (the extra damage taken) 5 times will give the target a Concussion, which gives the target 14/19/24/30% extra damage taken per level and lasts 6 seconds.
Hex Strike - (Passive)

  • Ice Slide follows terrain pathing rules. For example, if you want to get up a cliff or go thru some trees, the path will run towards the nearest ramp or find the nearest opening in the trees. It will NOT take you through obstacles and terrain.
  • Enemies receive a stack of headache when they get stunned.
  • Damage is applied after the headache.
  • Headache given is whatever level Skill Crack is. If Skull Crack is not leveled it will give a level 1 headache.
  • Ice path takes 0.75 seconds to fully create.
  • Units sliding have 0 collision during the spell.
Ice Storm - (Active, Unit)
____________________Jo'Jaska uses his most potent voodoo in order to call on the ice storms of Northrend to devastate his foes. Every now and then a freezing ice spike will come down from the heavens and strike a random nearby foe.

  • Recasting this spell will cause it to attack whatever unit Jo'Jaska last attacked, if it is still in aoe.
  • If the target leaves the aoe, it will stop attacking it.
  • When Jo'Jaska casts this spell he will receive a buff that lasts the spell's duration, allowing him to easily tell when he needs to cast it again.

I like the 2nd skill, it's the only fun part of the hero.imo that should be a skill for a voodoo hunter model.

LOL Hex Strike is epic.

I like the stacking damage buff on the first skill, but the Concussion thing seems unnecessary. Also it's a little redundant to have one passive that Hexes and another that Blinds..

Don't really care for the other two abilities,a nd I especially don't see the synergy int he Ult.

i know, the hero is suffering a bit from role confusion but i figured the best cure was to just go ahead and post him

what other effect should i replace the miss chance with?

Man, I had a hex orb idea before on a summon for one of my older ideas. It was frowned upon pretty badly, although I still like it. I'll write a review later

Stats + Cosmetics 3/5
That's a very high base damage, armor and ms for someone with that stat gain. I'd decrease base damage to something like 56-63 at most because that's really high, considering his massive 3.0 STR gain. I'd say try to keep the damage similar or a bit higher to other STR permabashers (ie. Sladar, Barathrum). You also have a high mobility skill so I'd decrease MS to 305 at the most. The armor may need a slight nerf but that's about it. The icons are alright though.

Skull Crack 6/10
Comparing this to Clinkz's Searing Arrows it's a bit underpowered damage wise since it's melee as well. I'd try something like 30/45/60/75 bonus physical damage, constant 30 manacost, and make it an Orb Effect and/or a Buff Placer. The constant increasing miss percentage is an interesting way to keep targets from fighting back, as well as Concussion.

Hex Strike 9/10
Cool skill but people were against it when I suggested it. How about you have the damage amplification theme throughout your hero? So Hex Strike turns them into a critter for 0.6/0.8/1.0/1.2 seconds and amplifies all sources of damage towards that critter by 6%/8%/10%/12%?

Ice Slide 7/10
Perhaps you could let it cut a path through trees, like Wild Axes, giving yourself more options, or would you rather keep it that way? Other than that it's a sub-par mobility skill, although it is thematically creative.
How about you create a straight ice path through whatever, and all trees are cut down for a duration, and it allows you, or any other unit to travel along the ice path, but slide from one side to another? This would really become a precise, skill-based spell which rewards a whole team if well placed.

Blizzard 2/10
I honestly don't know why you put this here. You could've just left it blank until you thought of something. It's not even interesting as a spell, let alone synergetic.

Synergies 2/5
Although there is subtle synergy between high mobility and the major damage Jo'Jaska can cause, it isn't really that interesting. It's like another Troll Warlord, and even he has better synergy with the attack speed/permabash theme.

1st skill-good idea but how bout' buffing it a bit?
2nd silll-NICE!!!a really great idea XD
3rd skill-perhaps u should change it so it has more synergy with the other spells?
Ulti-i dont know why its there but honestly,just change/replace it with other spells?

Actually a simple damaging skill is quite nice sometimes...with his slide he can get people inside that really small AoE thus dealing quite a lot of damage...
Now that I think about it more it seems like a great synergy between slide and ulti and it works with first two skills nicely since you have to keep them inside the AoE for full damage...
Make it constant 350 AoE and increase the damage...really 400 damage at lvl 11? Too small...make it 100/150/200 DPS at least...or buff the duration to 4/5/6...that would be nicer...and make the mana cost constant 150

Pretty interesting
1st skill-
Migraine headache. Loooooooooooool.
Not bad imo, a spammable skill (which i liek) with a slightly original effect.
Overall i honestly suggest it to be auto-castable. It's pretty annoying to keep casting a spell within melee range every 2s.

2nd skill-
5% chance more than troll and 0.25s longer disable than troll's bash.
Hex chance is a pretty new concept, but in the end it's just another bash. I think this skill deserves a slight twist, keep the chance concept if you want but add some more effect, make it an original passive. E.g. chance to activate but when it activate it deals XXX.

3rd skill-
Initiation. nice. slight force synergy with 1st skill but who cares
Now the problem: can we re-use ice path? Because if we can't it's just another leap/pounce.

Ulti-
Change it. Seriously.

Overall, needs some work imo. I like the idea of voodoo warrior (guy who curses AND bash heads, epic) But overall it's just a mash of slightly-altered twists. Namely a bash with another type of disable, and a leap with other effects.

HexStrike; Really cool. I'd have it be 1 sec at all levels and have the triggering chance to be 24% at max level.
