Default Geminate Attack

The suggestion is pretty simple: Allow Weaver to use orb items and have his geminate attack. Luna gets to use lifesteal, hell Luna should be able to use any orb too. Weaver's enough of a squish as it is, so I really don't see any reason to T-down this suggestion. Allowing Weaver to orbwalk with skadi or even just use lifesteal would make him much more useful.

The orb stacking problem is the main reason why geminate attack is almost always skipped. Its really sad that such an interesting ability almost never gets used because of this.

It has been suggested millions of times, and rejected every time. Good luck with this. I recomned you to see a better one at my signature (make geminite attack work on towers).

I don't agree with allowing orb effects. It will cause imba -_-

I agree with the others as this would make weaver OP. There is another suggestion for his germinate skill that is much more balanced IMO.

i don't think it would be imba, it would be only slightly stronger than a 2x crit, only having double chance for procs, and it having the cooldown means that in decent lategame where that advantage will actually happen, a % based crit will probably trigger much more than the length of the cooldown on germinate attack

so it wouldn't be imba at all, especially not on a subpar hero that sucks completly apart from watchers.

the problem is codeability of it, its made off orb of slow, and i don't think its possible to do it properly as a non orb skill

I think it could be a 100% chance to deal 2x damage with an X second cooldown.

No orb effect. True strike.

Due to the [hard]coding of geminate attack it is impossible to create a geminate attack that mechanically equals the current one, but allows orb effects.

What about my suggestion?

It would only give a true strike. This is the only drawback. But making cooldown on a passive ability IS possible.

it is possible, but then its just a critical strike on a cooldown, rather than two independent attacks, and i feel its better unique, and can just be changed another way to make up for it than to take away uniqueness

but thats just my idea on it, but yes, it would be possible to have it work as a critical on a cooldown, working much like basher

How would this make geminate attack imba? Pls explain.

Geminate is a second attack every 2.5 seconds on lvl 4, you could view this as a 2x crit every 2.5 seconds.
Now look at heroes which have innate crit passives --> they get the same (or even better) + orb effects.

I dont see how this would make geminate overpowered, and if so, its fixable by tweaking the cooldown of geminate a bit.

This change would increase the diversity of the hero, right now hes pretty boring.

Orb effect could make it too imba, can't really say it for sure ofc. without testing it, but yeah...

2.5 sec cooldown = If u have attacks each 0.5 seconds. its 20% to deal 200% damage.

Check out other criticals.. like 45% to deal 1.5x; 36% for 2x; 15% for 4x..

nothing bad.
