Hello all,

It has taken me over a year and half to finish this hero, due to delays and off-time from the site. Now that I've finished it, I hope all of you enjoy this hero that I will present, as it has a fresh new concept of anti-spellcasters. This time, its not about removing ones' mana (*ahem* Magina), now its all about limiting or making your enemies conscious about your presence, in which their spells make you stronger (in a way).

Now I present my hero, Rok'jan the Voodoo Warrior. My first hero in the 2 years of my hero-making hiatus from the site. I hope its as good as my previous heroes. I will let the comments talk for themselves. Please support me here!

Voodoo Warrior
Rok'jan

Background Story: Knowing nothing besides enchanting his voodoo and throwing his spears, Rok'jan is literally a freak of nature. Becoming the first of his kind as a headhunter with the mastery over vooodo, Rok'jan integrated his prowess to which words could not describe. Rok'jan's insanity has caused him to be who he is, one of the most dangerous foes in the battlefield. Be caught by his perilous spear, he provokes his enemies to attack him, only empowering his entity to release the pain he's felt back to the doers. Now, he joins the Sentinel only for the sole purpose of beating his fellow voodoo rival, seeking glory in the mastery of the voodoo.

Aggravation - (Single-Cast/Debuff)
____________________Rok'jan aggravates his foe as he dazes them with his voodooed spear. This spear contains a fatal entity that deals damage per second on the target and will only end until the target is able to cast a spell. However there is only a small percent chance to remove the debuff and can still remain even after the spell cast. The target can completely get rid of the debuff by casting a spell on Rok'jan. Spell duration lasts 10 seconds.

  • Auto-cast abilities and ultimates, I repeat, Auto-cast and ultimate abilities do not trigger this ability! To be fair, auto-cast abilities like Frost Arrows would make it easy to lose the effect as it practically has no cooldown. As for ultimates, they are too strong of an entity, and isn't a regular ability. This aims for a fair, balanced gameplay.
  • As in the text-box, if the enemy unit is able to cast a spell that affects Rok'jan, the debuff will successfully be removed.
  • The spell could be any spell outside of the above condition.
  • This skill can only be cast on enemy heroes.

Voodoo Frenzy - (Self-buff)
____________________Rok'jan goes into a frenzied state, embodying himself with volatile and dangerous chemicals. Any spell that negatively affects him during this state returns a penalty to the doer. Duration lasts for 10 seconds.

  • Auto-cast abilities and ultimates, I repeat, Auto-cast and ultimate abilities do not trigger this ability!
  • Stuns and slows that are matched up with the spell thrown at Rok'jan will still be applied.
  • Damage over time abilities (Viper's Poison Attack, Shadow Word, etc) will be returned immediately even before the damage over time has not completely been taken by Rok'jan.
  • When the ability is active, there will be no interval for the return damage. So if for example, Zeus shocks Rok'jan with Arc Lightning (level 4) and Lightning Bolt (level 4) simultaneously when the ability is active (at level 4), Zeus will receive 470(130+350) damage as soon as he does so.
  • This works like a blade-mail/return counterpart involving spells instead of physical damage.

Magic Sentry (Active-Buff/Debuff)
____________________Rok'jan aids/debuffs an enemy/friendly target with his voodoo magic. When under the effect, any spell that is casted while the target is in the area will damage/heal everyone around him. Lasts for 8 seconds.

  • Auto-cast abilities and ultimates, I repeat, Auto-cast and ultimate abilities do not trigger this ability!
  • The target under this spell will be part of the damaged/healed.
  • When cast at an enemy target, any spell that is cast near the enemy target will damage the AoE around the target.
  • When cast to a friendly unit (can be Rok'jan himself), any spell that is cast near the friendly unit will heal the AoE around the target.
  • The concept of this spell is very spontaneous to Rok'jan's other abilities. It helps him have more survivability when late game clashes occur.

Decisive Retribution - (Ultimate-Pas/Act)
____________________Rok'jan has learned that there are many threats on the battlefield, knowing so he has come prepared. Any enemy spell that is cast near Rok'jan will be stored within his body, waiting to be unleashed again in a 700 AoE around him. Each charge deals 90(*100) damage and will slow enemies.

  • Auto-cast abilities and ultimates, I repeat, Auto-cast and ultimate abilities do not trigger this ability! What I mean from this is that auto-cast abilities are too "weak" to be counted as a spell, since they are usually low-cooldown, low-mana abilities. As for ultimates, I said earlier that they are too strong an entity, and it would be best for balance that they aren't considered a "spell" as they are more than that.
  • Spells from allies CANNOT contribute to the charges.
  • (*) - Scepter Upgradable
  • There will be a charge counter, represented when highlighting the ability.
  • The spell works like Magic Wand. No, exactly like Magic Wand. However, there is a cooldown.
  • Any skill at all outside from auto-cast and ultimates will be taken in as a charge.
  • This passive-active skill has a cooldown, similar to Weaver's Weave in which he has a passive/active ability.

Unleash - (Active-Instant)
____________________Rok'jan instantaneously releases his charges to a 700 AoE around him, dealing 100 damage per charge and slows enemies according to the level.

Whole skillset is uncodeable.
Inb4 you say that you are aiming DotA 2, such suggestions are forbidden here.

Blade Mail/Return works on every kind of damage, not only physical.

Dunno, if you are interested in making this hero codeable, but I will leave those suggestions:
Ultimate - makes it like Magic Wand, counting every spell cast in AoE (doesn't care if it negatively affects your hero), balance numbers.
Third Skill - there is some possibilities, working only against unit-targetting skills or again like Magic Wand, which heals/damage around.
Second Skill - the best what i can think is making it in this way: whenever enemy cast a spell in AoE you are returning all damage for let's say 1 second, make it chance based or with cooldown.
First skill - make it have a chance to dispell on every skill cast, some kind of "Magic" Battle Hunger or single-target CotS. The chance should be higher, at least 50% and maybe 100% if skill is targetting Rokjan. Damage would be increased and cooldown decreased.

To be honest, I didn't really feel the ability, but actually thought it would be a good addition to Rok'jan. The magic wand idea could work as well. What if I change it to whenever the target is in the area of an ability cast, he will heal/damage the AoE around him?

Now this is the type of criticism I need. Thank you Evfeed for your very very helpful suggestions. I hope more reviews or comments would be so too so I can improve more on Rok'jan! Thanks man!

UPDATE: Currently editing Rok'jan. Stay tuned for updated version. When I place v 1.1 on the hero title, that means that's his next version.

UPDATE 2:
- 1st skill has been modified to allow all spells, not only the ones that negatively affect Rok'jan to allow them [enemy] to break the debuff. If Rok'jan is casted negatively on, the effect will be gone instantaneously.
- 2nd skill is remain unchanged. I will fix that later. (I need some help here!!)
- 3rd skill has been modified to allow that any spell that is cast near the target to be damaged or healed. There is no cooldown in terms of triggering of the damage/heal when the spell is in effect.
- Ultimate has been modified to a point that it now works like Magic Stick. It remains a passive-active ability. However, spells from Rok'jan or his allies cannot contribute to your charges.
