Andhoras Whitefield the Mystical Adept At a glance, Andhoras may seem older than he actually is. Little do people know that Andhoras is 18 years old, but having the arcane abilities comparable to those of the Elder Magi. This is because his interest for mystical magic developed as early as he learned to read, and he put all his time into arcane studies, and did what other child at his age couldn't do. He joined the cause of the Sentinels when he acknowledged the war from a faithful meeting with Luna Moonfang whom he falls in love with. Andhoras bravely steps into the war side by side with his love by supporting the Sentinels with arcane spells that bolsters the march of the Sentinels towards eliminating the evil forces once and for all. Learns Sentinel, Latent Current, Arcane Protection and Disintegrate. Strength 17 + 2.1 Agility 15 + 1.9 Intelligence 23 + 2.5 Affiliation : Sentinel Attack Range : 600 Movespeed : 295 Armor : 2 Pros • Can push/defense/support/jungle. • Has decent lane control, map awareness and a teleport ability. • Powerful against physical attackers. Cons • Weak against AOE, spellcasters and assassins. • No disables. ********************************************* Ability 1 Sentinel (Active) [ E ] Conjures a spirit of himself from an allied unit. The spirit has very weak attack, has no abilities, but has a chance to cast the same spell at the same time that Andhoras casts. Duration increases per level. Level 1 - 5% chance. Level 2 - 10% chance. Level 3 - 15% chance. Level 4 - 20% chance. Cooldown: 55/50/45/40 Mana Cost : 25/50/75/100 Cast Range: Global Duration: 30/40/50/60 • When casted, kills the unit (similar to Demonic Conversion/Dark Ritual). • Spirit is similar to an illusion, but takes damage as normal (not amplified damage like illusions). • Spirit does not need mana to cast spells that proc. • Spirit can only cast Andhoras' spells which are Arcane Protection and Disintegrate, not item spells. • Spirit casts Disintegrate towards the unit it's targeting when it procs. • Spirit has maximum of 1 Attack Damage, regardless of items worn by Andhoras. (To assist in auto-acquiring/targeting of enemies) Sub-Ability Imposition (Active) [ T ] Instantly swaps Andhoras with his Sentinel. Cooldown: 55/50/45/40 Mana Cost : 100 • Unlike Morphling's Morph Replicate, Imposition does not destroy the Sentinel, instead it swaps Andhoras' position with it (like Nether Swap). Uses: • Mind games. • Lane control (deny creep). • Extra tank for creeping/jungling. • Support pushes in another lane. (+usage from all his spells) • Reinforce pushes in the same lane. (+usage from Arcane Protection and Disintegrate) • Scouting/warding. • Escape/teleport mechanism. ********************************************* Ability 2 Latent Current (Passive,Toggle) [ N ] Andhoras' presence causes the unseen energy within the attacks of each hero to alter, affecting their damage against lesser beings. Allied heroes gain increased damage while enemy heroes have their damage reduced. Toggle to affect all units. Level 1 - 12% of damage. Level 2 - 20% of damage. Level 3 - 28% of damage. Level 4 - 36% of damage. AOE : 900 Andhoras' presence causes the unseen energy within the attacks of each unit to alter, affecting their damage against all beings. Allied units gain increased damage while enemy units have their damage reduced. Toggle to affect heroes only. Level 1 - 12% of damage. Level 2 - 15% of damage. Level 3 - 18% of damage. Level 4 - 21% of damage. AOE : 900 • Only affects base damage and damage bonus from stats on heroes. • Aura can affect heroes only/all units (toggle like Ring of Basillus). • Stacks with other damage auras. • Stacks with Bane Elemental's Enfeeble. • Does not stack with Quelling Blade. • 'Heroes only' Latent Current only affects heroes and the damage done against non-hero units (creeps, structures). • 'All units' Latent Current affect all units (allies/enemies) and the damage done against all units. Uses: • Push booster. (+damage against creeps and structures) • Makes enemies' last hitting in lane miserable. • Extra damage to support nearby allies in farming/jungling. • Works with Sentinel. ********************************************* Ability 3 Arcane Protection (Auto-castable) [ C ] Summons several bursts of arcane buff that protects nearby allies from physical damage. Each burst reduces physical damage taken by 5% for 15 seconds. Max. 12 stacks per unit. Level 1 - 3 bursts. Level 2 - 6 bursts. Level 3 - 9 bursts. Level 4 - 12 bursts. Cooldown: 7 Mana Cost: 25/30/35/40 AOE of Coverage: 700 • Works like Luna's Eclipse (bursts target random units in vicinity). • Each burst comes in 0.2 second interval. • Bursts stop when Andhoras dies. • If autocast is activated, Andhoras will cast this spell whenever there are nearby allies being attacked. • Only reduces physical damage taken. Uses: • Push booster. (+defense against physical attacks) • As a support in battles against physical attackers. • Works with Sentinel. ********************************************* Ultimate Ability Disintegrate (Active) [ R ] Fires a ray of death that deals heavy damage. Deals half damage to heroes. Level 1 - 100 damage Level 2 - 200 damage Level 3 - 300 damage Cooldown: 2 Mana Cost: 100/125/150 • A thin line similar to Powershot that moves instantly from the caster to the point with 2000 range. Units must be within 40 of the ray to be hit. Deals 1/2 damage to heroes. Uses: • Push booster. (Kill creeps quick) • Has increased potential with Sentinel. Synergy Having Latent Current at 2 different lanes to support/push. Also helps in denying and weakening enemies' ability to last hit. Chance to cast it free, and support/push at different lanes, or reinforce the same lane. Increases nuke potential and capability to push different lanes. Enemies are severely weakened against your creeps, unless they kill Andhoras. All in combo for support/push. Also great in jungling, farming and defense. |

Seems like a really interesting and cool hero.
So far just some comments about the sentinels mechanics and the ulti. How does the ulti work when a Sentinel of yours is in another lane? Because I imagine the Sentinel working like Phantom Lancer's images also casting ghost lance at the same target you click (with the ulti, which is a targeted spell). What happens when they are outside the 2000 range of the location you click, will they walk towards it? Or do they have to be close to you in order for it to proc the ulti (that would be a solution)? It would also be cool if they cast the ulti in their own lane straight ahead of them, like a sf-raze. Second, for your ulti, doesnt a 2 sec cd/150 hero dmg/ 2000 range ability seem REALLY overpowered? Yes it scales down in lategame, but if you reach lvl 16 (or even 11) really quickly, which may happen with a solo lane, it's like a clockwerk rocket (range and easy targeting) combined with phoenix ray (continuous and no cd) minus the annoying control issues. It is kind of balanced with just Andhoras, but if he has 2 sentinels near him (as can happen when sentinel is leveled to 4), he can deal 300 (450 at lvl 16) hero dmg every 2 secs for 20 secs.. WITH A 2000 RANGE! Seems kind of imba but maybe im just getting it wrong. Btw sorry if these comments have already been made to you, ive just seen this thread and not the CTH one. Good job, great creativity otherwise. He reminds me a bit of the old Ezalor with the guardian spirit in terms of hero-role. Is that why you picked the Priest model? edit: LOL this came from 2009.. Never mind all that I wrote. I still think this could be a really cool hero btw.. |
