I can't really say whether I have watched a movie or played some game with crap graphics and totally poor storyline. This movie seem to be one of the worst movies I have ever watch. Im so excited when i saw Beowulf in HBO but the time I began to see its 3D graphic like characters, I conclude it would be an epic fail. There is no sense in the main plot nor even kick ass fights not including Beowulf riding on the wyrm's back maybe.
Well, actually both, Reich and Fu(e)hrer are somewhat related to Hitler, especially if you´re not German and don´t know the meaning of those words. Of course that doesn´t mean you´re a racist, but I think it does mean this wasn´t the last time you´ll be accused of being one.
It definitely looks great. The idea of the movie is that one of the characters is carrying a camera with him and you´re getting to see what´s on the tape. And that´s really well done, he behavior of the camera looks very realistic (shaking when he´s running, sometimes it´s not recording correctly, etc.), which makes the effects even more impressive.
But it has the same problem as many other movies with great effects: the story is only average. It´s nothing special, sometimes I even found it a bit predictable, but not to an extent where I could have told what happens next for the entire movie.
Overall it was an entertaining movie, especially if you watch it with soem friends.
You can also call yourself Nazi and claim you just like the national socialist party. You might not be racist but lets just say this name isnt the most considering.
Anyway on topic last movie I saw was Inglorious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino - 8/10 .
The movie is definitely a Tarantino movie, lots of blood and cool dialogues, but at times I thought it lacked something, dunno what, also I think it went a bit too long and dragged itself in several occasions. Overall still a great movie and one of Tarantino's finest!
8/10 - The only reason it wasn't a perfect score is because of its weird choice of background music and mediocre acting but its not intolerably so. In fact, for a foreign film, its surprisingly good. Also the replays are awful.
No wires No tricks No CGI No stunt doubles
These nine words represent the most astonishing element of Ong-Bak. When I first saw that they were using no wires no tricks and no CGI after watching the trailer, it got me hooked, specially when I saw people: fall from two to three stories high then drop to nothing but dirt, lunge and RUN over top of peoples heads, and leap over moving vehicles/barbwires. These can't easily be faked specially if its the real deal.
Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Jet Li - all rolled into one
When I saw these, I thought they went crazy but it quickly made me a believer when I saw the guy pull of amazing, vicious fight choreography and executing intentionally ferocious, graphic moves.
Tony Jaa(the leading guy) and his moves are way to brutal. Tony Jaa never settles for the gut, he smash his elbow right on the opponent's head.
Watch the trailer, he does some crazy shit with them knees, I tell you.
awesome fan made trailer, and yes hes actually running on top of people
Also the cinematography is dark and gritty.
Anyway, you dont watch this movie for the acting. You watch it to see Tony Jaa kick some butt using a martial arts style like nothing youve ever seen. A brainless but skillful action choreography.
8/10 - Although I fully understood what the other people including the critics are bitching about in this movie, I don't have a problem with it.
Snake Eyes's story is probably the best in all the sub-stories in the movie, and the way it ended gave his character depth even if he was all silence and shit.
Also there was one hilarious moment there......[show hidden to continue]
Also there was one hilarious moment there where Rex attached his USB to the computer, it showed Norton Anti-Virus. After the a quick scan on his USB by Norton, he was screaming "c'mon! c'mon!" implying on the computer to speed up.
I don't think it was the kind of Product Placement that Norton was aiming for.
