Default [Rebalance] Techies' hit


Edit: Because there's a huge misunderstanding about the potential of techies' farming capabilities,I'm targeting competitive games rather than casual games.So instead of arguing about the insane farm of aghanim's after 20 minutes is completely pointless for this discussion.

After playing a decent ammout of techies picks for years and asking buffs I was bugged for a long time: Why can't techies have a normal last hit?

Think about the items techies needs to use mines:

-Force staff
-Soul ring
-Gem (if enemy gets a lot of sentries)
-Melevolance
-Aghanim's

Aren't these items made for a carry?How can you call this hero support when the only support ability is suicide,which has been nerfed so much,it takes 3~2.5 minutes to kill an enemy.


What I'm suggesting is we buff techies last hit so he can be a decent carry.

Why I buff his base attack?Because it needs skill.Why don't I farm with mines?Because mines are made to kill enemies,not creeps.And above all,they are expensive.

Also,a hero that already has pushing and defensive abilities ,adding the last hit potential will deffinitely be welcomed by the competitive scene.

I gotta give this a t-down.

Here's why: I HATE techies (yeah yeah not a good reason but keep reading). Once he picks up a SR/AB + scepter + euls + forcestaff he makes the game drag on for 3 hours. Even with gem, mines that are strategically placed on hills are a pain to avoid and to scout. Towers are near impossible to break because his mines will wipe out the entire creep wave. In teamfights if he plants a stasis trap in the center (where there are nukes flying around so no one can see it), the 6 second stun simply wins games. So I do not want him to be able to farm his things faster. The only way to win is to push early with an early gem when he is at lower levels and when he does not have items for infinite mana or to turtle for so long that every hero has a bkb.

Somehow I have to T-Down, since in my build, Guinsoo instead of Orchid. He can farm quickly.

My ideal Techies build, in particular order :
-Soul Ring
-Boots -> converted to BoT after Blink Dagger
-Aghanim
-Guinsoo, easily get after you get Aghanim
-Blink Dagger
-Another luxury.

As you can see, it doesn't fit with carry build at all.

I always plant mines in the right place, also I always clear any creeps wave coming if there're no carry around.

And I already stated, early I get Soul Ring, then boots, then rush Agh. After Agh, I can easily get Guinsoo. That's enough mana. Then, Blink Dagger. etc etc.

Guinsoo is super luxury even with the aghanim's upgrade it would take a lot of time to make it.

And aghanim's itself is a luxury.4400 is made around 20th minute at best (without the enemy feeding you).

T-Down from me. Here's the reason:

1. Techies only need one item early-mid, Soul Ring!! It's cheap and it will provide you with enough mana till you got your agha or void+AB.
2. Most of Techies's gold early-mid comes from assist, towers and ks (if your carry can't take it, read:enemy runs away)
3. Techies farm with REMOTE MINES. 1 remote (with agha) per wave is cheap, since you got SR.

Also, reducing his attack range is a HUGE NERF. He's squishy as fuck and his suicide cd is kinda long. If this happens, Techies would be forgotten. (Not that this affect my gameplay in anyway)

Conclusion: T-Down, Unnecessary.

He is a pure support,pushing,turtling hero

Why does he need increased base damage when he has the most imba farming spell that is mines ?

And decreasing his range will nerf him to hell. So no

Which other hero, pray tell me, has a spammable 750 damage area nuke and a 6 second area stun on a 10 second cooldown? And another 600 damage nuke on a 15 second cooldown?

Which other hero can get solo first blood and consecutive kills without the need to even be in the same lane as the enemy?

Which other hero can effectively control choke points and complete areas on the map, guarding them from intruders?

T-Down for reducing range, t-null for buffing an overpowered hero.

Pity, because there's more imbalance I pointed out about Techies. If you can't farm with an area nuke that nearly wipes out creepwaves, you can't farm with anything.

One Scepter, one Soul Ring. That's all you need.

Try to comprehend the time you'll farm that fucking aghanim's please.20 minutes.By that time,the entire enemy team will get most of your towers,if not your whole team for playing 4v5 ,because techies is farming.

So yeah,if you're farming with techies to farm even more,that's atrocious.
