Default Dota 2 Health Bars

What do people think about the health bars being green for Radiant and red for Dire?

It is different from Dota 1. Honestly I think the green to orange to red, as your health gets lower is a better system.

Is the green for Radiant and Red for Dire supposed to help learners differentiate who is on your team and who is the enemy?

Yes, but I think that it is unnecessary and that the old system works the best.

Are you joking ?

Having the same health bar for evryone is the worst thing that could happen for a competitive game.

In Dota 2 it's clear, if a thing is red, it's your ennemy, if a thing is green, it's your ally.

Making things harder than it should be is fucking silly.

No one had any problems at all with same colored health bars in DotA 1.

Current Dota 2 set-up: Red for enemies; green for allies.

Opinion: No problem with it. It's better than Warcraft's system.

Mulit-colored HP bars that change according to HP percentage can get confusing and they can be quite misleading.

Red HP Pudge may have more than a thousand HP.

Disagree. The health bars does a better job indicating the enemy rather than trying to memorize enemy's colors.

I wouldn't mind if they added yellow/purple or a blue for neutrals tbh....

Gets a bit confusing when in a jungle ect.

Actually i'm sure most people agree with me that we did have a problem with those healthbars. Looking excactly like creeps not to mention same color is just major bleh. Personally i really like the new colors and different looking healthbars than creeps have.

There are some things that can and should be dropped and improved to make it a better game. Making the game visually clearer is one of those things and that includes not only effects but also color-sheme and HP-bars.

Do you really have problems distinguishing allies from enemies currently in Dota1?

Anyway, I have no problems with any of those systems, but the more things stay unchanged, the better.

Anyway, I completely agree that it should be green for everyone.
ofc I have problem to distinguish allies from enemies in DotA.

That's why I don't play it, even whether I want it (sick of HoN).

I wouldnt mind having the one from warcraft 3, but there is no reason not to change it.
I am pretty surer if they were able to change it on war3 they would have.

Its alot easier to get used to imo.

+1 don't mind the "pros" they think any change is making the game more noobish.

Imagine if people like them where in charge of the world, we will still be walking from state to state because any other form of transportation is for noobs yo.

I love the concept of green for one team and red for another, but I'm incredibly used to percentage based colours, so I am quite interested to see how it will play for me

I think old system is better than the new one. You could easy see when someone was low hp.
Now it's far harder to see that on the first glance.
In addition to that I feel the HP bars are harder to distinguish from the background than in WC3. Especially the red creep ones.

Better use white for neutrals.

Also you could make red go to Violett/dark blue when the hero/unit gets low HP...

The health bars have barcode lines to tell an exact amount of hp a hero has (minibars for 200 hp, and every 1000 hp you get a bigger black bar)

that way you can tell if an unit's hp is low, and how much hp is that "low".
The system in DOTA2 is the best system of all, and to those who don't want to change the game, i say don't blind yourself by the disability of the war3 engine, you got a new engine, make sure it's used to it's best.

open your eyes, not all change is bad.

Easiest most concise way to send information to players and spectators watching the game, it's definitely an improvement compared to the warcraft engine.
