So I saw the Part 4 of the Dota 2 Comics
just now. It was epic indeed, but several frames caught my illicit attention:
Notice the following lines:
► "Fairy Tales"
could be viewed to be referring to League of Legends
in reference to the game's colorful and cartoony graphics.
And the whole line could be translated to "...yet you refuse to [play] League of Legends?"
, anyone? Also "Tarn of Roshan,"
knowing the links between Guinsoo and his bowling ball, can be read as Guinsoo's Pool
a.k.a. Riot Games
So it reads "...Even HoN fear[s] Riot Games..." (which is somewhat true in terms of competition)
This is a very sharp rebuke, with the lines "it's just another mucky pool to me"
in describing Guinsoo's Pool [Riot Games].
► "The only thing we're bothering is frogs"
is definitely referring to IceFrog
. Like, seriously. The faulty S-V agreement in the sentence is a huge giveaway.
So these lines actually read as "...LoL? Meh, Riot Games fail in terms of balancing. Let us not disturb IceFrog because he knows his thing..."
Of course these are hidden messages, so VALVe and cohorts can pass this thing up as mere "coincidences."
And maybe this is just me thinking through things in an analytical perspective. How about you guys? Whadya think?
tl;dr - I have a lot of free time in my hands and DC threads look kinda stale.
