Dotalicious sucks

and another issue is the jump from SL1 to SL3. because of the penalty system there are literally NO SL2 people, hence no SL2 games. It jumps from SL1 games to SL3 games (SL3 has no penalty requirement).... because of this teams are really skewed.

You can be at a SL2 level (exp wise) but it wont rank you as SL2 because you dropped a game.

you are forced to join SL1 game.

Because of your 11xx-12xx xp you get 2-3 garanteed noobs on your team. Impossible to win.

Everyone knows that 5 Decent>1Pro+1Decent+3noobs

On topic: I do agree that DLG has fallen from grace recently. Client exploitation and poor moderation is to blame, but it is also a ranked platform, which poses a plethora of problems.

DotA2 isn't much better to be honest , Infact if you judge a game by its playerbase you'll probably leave DotA2 and start qq'ing about it as well.

imho currently, dota 2 is generally worse.

just saying dotalicious quality is dopping. they need to fix their ranking system.

1 Major thing to note: Dota 2 MM's through ALL searching players, in the future this will lead to excellent matchmaking once a system is implemented

Dotalicious MM's with only 10 people that join THAT game. if you get even 1 pro with high EXP the game is skewed indefinately.

We are continuously working on making the matchmaking process into a better expirience, you can always go to the feedback forum and give suggestions.


@Lightredredemption. I take that Poor moderating as a direct offense, if you ever had any problems with a mediator, you could always come to me and if you write to me in a normal (mannered) way, I will always answer and come to a proper solution.


@People who say it lags, Care to tell me what servers are lagging? So I can inform Aussi&Emmeran about it.

TBH, moderating is VERY bad. mediators are amazing. every report i do gets a timely response and they are willing to look into the issue.

Moderating is SOOO bad though. Aussie/Emmeran havnt replied to my messages about getting a new account for my brother in a month. its just beyond terrible.

Thats because they get tons of issues like these each day and that's not even their core business, have you tried to make a support ticket?

yes, support ticket directed me to PM them personally, i tried aussie, no response, i tried emmeran no response. I contacted Liberatis (mediator) but i cant blame him, hes not incharge of this.)

I mean its not a pressing issue, (my bro and i shared a garena account), but because of the stat trackign in DLG i would like a serpate account..

Threads like this make me smile. 9/10 of the negative "feedback" comes from users who are banned for various reasons. 9/10 of those bans are completely self inflicted.

the unfortunate 1/10 who actually thinks negatively about our platform saddens me though. But just like with everything in life, there is simply no way to please everyone all at the same time. If you are willing though then send me a pm or open a thread in our forums. Constructive criticism is always appreciated!

I read every single pm i get. Usually this lands at around 50-200 a day. i can't read all of them within 24 hours but i guarantee that it's within 3-4 days.
If i haven't replied to someone it's because it really wasn't worth my time. The majority of pm's i get look like this:

Essentially what i'm saying is that my in-box is spammed with utter bullshit that could have been answered by a monkey with some basic reading skills.
Sometimes i do however read a message and not reply to it directly because i get distracted. Later on it gets lost. Usually due to it not having a subject title so that i can find it easily again later.

If you spent 5 minutes writing up a proper mail with proper content and a proper subject i will guaranteed answer it. the 3000 replies i have made this year alone speak for that.

I do ignore a lot of pm's though. Especially now since as Ali pointed out both myself and Emmeran are in Beijing until after new years. We don't have the time to micro manage atm. Once we are back home we will continue as we always have but you can't expect us to be handling supports 24/7 while managing the staff, while managing our business side, while managing the leagues, while managing the player contacts and platform contacts, while managing the media content, making sure the servers are running smoothly, while developing and coding new functions, while <essentially this list goes on indefinitely> .

I expect people to spend at least the same amount of time to explain themselves or research their problem on their own as they expect me to spend helping them.

In your particular case AriStar you didn't bother reading my sig even once in the last 2 months huh...

I somewhat agree, I found DL (dota league) to be a bit better. I'm noticing the skill level of SL1 is a bit lower than DL.
I have no problem with flaming however, I'm not quickly angered by words (and I'm usually the one doing the flaming, damn noob teams..... :< ).

However, there were never any VIP games going on on DL, but there's a lot more games going on in SL3. As soon as I get back into SL3 I think I'll have a better time than on DL.

Oh, i read it about a week later, and then sent a PM to emmeran.

Look, im not hating. i use your platform for playing dota more than any other, hell im more satisfied with playing games there than on Dota 2 MM.

I even understand that you get a lot of PM's/Reports which is why im generally patient. I didnt start this thread, but i did add in my issues.

Now you may ask why i didnt directly post an issue on Dotalicious forums, well i stopped going their after getting flamed a few times for simple questions, and always afraid of getting banned for posting in forums (which i have HEARD has happened to a few people).

and i did try to solve the problem myself (cause you are infamous for banning people, once again i have only HEARD this). i opened a ticket, was directed to pm you, did that, saw you were away, pmed emmeran.

i didnt know you were both in china.


In the end, if you are getting so many PM's wouldnt it make more sense to create a central inbox, and ask a few more people to help you go through it?

Dota2 will be same, only thing that can bring some light is blizzard dota.

Dotalicious is kinda last place left to play dota anyway, so... i dont like it cause of fact that its not about skill, its about who gets worse noobs in team, that team loses. I dont think that they can prevent that anyway, thats dota playerbase skill, getting lower each day. Simple.
