I think it is better if you suggest a build and others try to enhance it.

It's better to adapt to the given situation. If you want a staple damage build though you can get exort and wex mainly and one quas. Then invoke meteor and cold snap and have deafening blast ready. If you place it properly it is good for killing one hero and disabling a few at once.

1.Exort
2.Invoke - Sunstrike 3.Exort 4.Quas 5.Exort 6.Wex 7.Invoke - Switch between Meteor, Deafening, Cold Snap and sunstrike 8.Exort 9.Quas 10.Quas 11.Quas -Invoke and keep Forge spirits out at all times, add Ice wall to above list 12.Invoke 13. Rest can be whatever This makes use of most of your disables and damage spells, as well as give you a strong lane Lvl 2 sunstrike for lucky firstbloods The order of which spells you use depends on your situation, but generally, I always have forge spirits out, and will always use chaos meteor after Ice Wall or cold snap, depending on how many i want to hit.

Well, invoker has a very dynamic skill build and you should never stick to one, but something that works is:
1.Q 2.R(cold snap) 3.Q 4.W 5.Q 6.W 7R(cold snap,tornado,ghostwalk) 8.W 9.W(cold snap,tornado,emp, ghostwalk) 10.W 11.Q 12.R (you should have agha by now) 13.E(cold snap,tornado,emp, icewall,deafening blast,ghostwalk,alacrity) 14.Q 15.E 16.E 17.R 18.E(every single spell) 19.E 20.E 21.E 22.W 23.W 24.Q 25.Q This is just a base, you should always experiment and adapt to your game.

Never play it but this is probably pretty effective:
Coldsnap, Tornado, EMP Have a field day

Holy shit this thing is easy to play. IDK why so many people are talking about skill because he really doesn't take any more skill than being able to hit an impale.
