No reason for not having it,especially when the animation looks like a continuous draining,not a wave/pack/burst drain.

^ gonna kill off illusions much faster and initial mana drain is faster.( note there is a 1 second delay to actually mana drain something)

Currently it drains every second 100 mana. He suggest it to make it drain every 0.1 seconds 10 mana. Overall, the same amount of mana is drained. It's just more smooth.
Example: You cast mana drain, but get interrupted after 0.8 seconds. With the current mana drain you'd drain 0 mana (because it drains 100 in 1 second tacts). With the suggested one you'd have drain 80 mana in 0.8 seconds (because it'd drain 10 in 0.1 second tacts). You won't have to wait a full second to drain mana. It's a small, but handy buff. Quote:
T-up for Mana Drain. 0.05 seconds won't be good, because it'd drag peformance. 0.1 second tact is ok imo. But we could make it drain in 0.5 second tacts. Than it'd be enough dmg to disable consumables. It'd deal 35.625/52.5/69.375 dmg every 0.5 seconds (magic resistance involved). And for the scepter version, 0.3 second tacts would be enough. 37.5/50/62.5 dmg every 0.3second (magic resistance involved). Pls correct me if I made any mistakes. read below.
