Default Dota 2 low spec computers

Is valve going to optimize Dota 2 to meet the low spec requirements of most of the PC's being used? new member here. don't know where to post. just asking.

Beta is not optimize yet, but people are putting ridiculous expectations and think their shitty PCs are gonna play miraculously.

Yes when the game gets optimized, it'll get better by 10-15%. But most things have taken its shape. Don't expect magic to happen.

i liked the new video settings on the test build, easy to reach 100 fps. but in terms of pc specs, they might do it in par to TF2 (128mb video card minimum, pentium 4 processor, 1mb ram).

No idea why are people expecting the game to be as demanding as 10 years old W3.

that's not my point here. I am just aware that most of PC's that asian countries have are out of date, i'm just thinking of how is valve going to pull this off.

If you played Dota 2 beta (the one with bane) you can see that Valve has some REALLY low settings for low end PC. Some settings makes it looks like a 8 bit game lol :P

tnx for advance ^_^

Need Beta key pls

OP: Since it's still Beta, most of the graphic settings won't still work yet so we're not sure about that. We can be sure Valve will be able to do something about that, btw in the new test build it seems optimized for low end PCs. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I thought.

The game is extremely well tweakable. The high video requirements come only from the high texture/model resolutions. If they made lower quality ones, they could easily make the game run on tablets and smartphones. The game mechanic is so damn simple that you could even render it on a 15 year old DOS computer (in DOS resolution of course).

Well, the game is already playable with somewhat old pc's but in all honesty you need a better system to enjoy it as you should. Not high-end, but decent. From my own experience, DotA 2 felt like 10 times better when I got my new pc.

They made low quality textures, check the test client.
My computer can barely handle warcraft3 with max middle settings, and I can play dota2 without freeze/lag on the test client (but the visual fidelity take a huge hit ^^')
