Description: Defensive ability/item that will make the attacker, after some condition, take a bad effect/damage, without being controlled by the hero. The Shield Effect/Armor Placer can't be stacked. |

you don't mention pipe, vanguard, stout shield, pms, kraken shell and no, senyu doesn't post in the wrong section, you are the one who do it and learn the mechanics......... you're talking about something you don't know new element to DotA in-game mechanics? no you want to suggest an ability that trigger upon your hero is attacked? put it in ability ideas want to suggest an item that has that ability? item ideas a hero? hero ideas

my point is : this thread is pointless this has no suggestion whatsoever if you support the ability/item/hero, bump the thread at that section, NOT ADVERTISING THEM HERE could be reported for advertising other thread, actually eh, and you still didn't mention stout shield/pms/vanguard

Well no... it is impossible to post it under "Hero" or "Ability" or even "Item" as it contains elements of all three... Sure an "Armor Placer" item would be in the item subsection, but the "Armor Placer" change itself would be in "other".
And you are right, OP needs to update with other effects |

and can you point me to the suggestion in this this thread?
basically this thread only sums the suggestions in item ideas who have concept about giving buff/debuff at enemy who attack the bearer of item

add Amulet of Corruption to Active Shield Effect, because it's only give damage to the attacker...

please learn the mechanics, seriously all the item/skill you mentioned above basically has some code : trigger a buff/debuff/damage to the enemy who attack/cast spell to/whatever to the bearer/hero it is NOT a system!

Can we not get bogged down on semantics? The point is that it is a group of items which causes some discomfort to anyone who assaults you. Call it whatever you want. I personally like the idea, but am willing to listen to any reasonable argument against it.
However there is one thing I would like to tweak: Active spells can be stacked. I like my frost armor whether or not I have spiked carapace or not. Having aphotic shield is still really good, regardless what item I had. Armors cannot stack for sure, but let the abilities stack with anything. |

What exactly is your suggestion? I mean, what does the "new system" you suggest DO? What mechanics does it change? And most importantly: WHY?
As of now, you simply categorize items and skills and suggest a semantic for them. What's the point?
