Default (Model Change) Shop/Protectorate


I suggest to change the model of the Shop Protectorate.
Why? On the one hand for personal reasons (I ALWAYS click on Protectorate when I want to buy a weapon, because a golden guy with a sword looks like TH3 W3apon Mast3r to me, and thats really annoying), on the other hand to make it look better, unique and more fitting.

Currently it is like this. All other shops look really neutral, but a golden knight looks too 'good'. Suggested model looks neutral, too, fitting more to the others. Also looks more protecting and not like Dragon Knight. But which model?
Take a look:

One of those models. There are 2 models, the other could be used for a hero, so no model waste. Just play their 'Defend'-animation. It will look like this:

Of course this will also change the soundset.

Pros:
-Looks unique
-Looks more protecting
-Looks more neutral
-Fits better to the other shops
-Less confusing

Cons:
-Maybe unusual at start

Both models use the 'Defend'-animation. The guy with the Axe just holds it before his face. The Spear guy has it more to the side. Without 'Defend'-animation they just hold it completly to their left.

I don't mind the current one. It's a soldier inside a bright and shining armor. To me the armor stands out more than his sword, and that's why it defines the defensive items.

On your suggested model, the spear and the shield both stand out, but the shield is a wood weak-looking shield, and the spear is a weapon, so not a big improvement for me there.

However, I completely agree on the "good" looks of the model not fitting for scourge. The whole scourge shop needs to be re-done IMO to make it fit the evil side.

If you suggest this model change only for the scourge shop, I'd T-Up

Current model is fine, never had trouble with the new shops after awhile. Why don't we put 'Defend' on the current model? Would be better and help emphasize the shield.
But as Foede mentioned, this would work well for a Scourge shopfront

Current one looks like Dragon Knight, proposed model is unused.

We could use the bandit models for new heroes, but the DK is already used, yet in a different model, I agree with the poster who said the defend status.

Like Foede mentioned, suggested models look too... unarmored to be the Protectorate shop. I'm used to seeing the Footman-lookalikes used as defensive units in custom maps, so personally I don't get the confusion

There are two different bandit, like I posted them, so even one is used as a hero the other could be used as the shop.
