Most Memorable Game

It's 3:30 am in an undisclosed university computer lab: The lights are off, but there are about 40 people in the room for last-minute procrastination and our usual DotA night games. No one is working anymore. Instead, there are two mobs, one standing behind Sentinel, another Scourge; their eyes are glued to the nearest person's screen. They don't all play DotA, but they seem to know that this contest of strength and wits, was dead even. An hour into this thrilling close game, with Sentinel having only one melee barrack remaining, Scourge comes top for a final decisive push/backdoor (this was BEFORE regeneration). We engage and heroes fall one after the other.

The Crowd gets louder and more anxious.

The only ones left are myself as Furion and the massively farmed Bristleback and Drow - Drow soon falls, but Bristleback guns for our red barracks. The Scourge team starts chanting and cheering as he rampages to our helpless building.

Suddenly, a turning point. At that precise moment, creeps spawn so instinctively I simultaneously Sprout and attack him. Casting Treants right before the trees fall, I close his direct path off with treants/creeps from the barracks. Some gasp in astonishment. The Bristleback eventually gets around them and whacks at the last barracks - his quill spray and radiance making it really painful as I attempt to bring him down.

The Crowd is yelling so loud now and the room is so loud I can't hear anything anymore.

As he's launching the final hit, my trusty Green bolt finishes him off, and me and my rax stand at <50 hp. Crowd goes insane. I push their final set up top for megas and take down their base towers meticulously. The enemy can only watch as their respawn timers and Throne HP slowly tick down. The game ends.

People start screaming and swearing. High-fives all around, loud applause, cheering and spilled coffee and drinks everywhere. We were all caught in the euphoria of the moment of one of the most legendary and amazing games ever to be played.

They installed security cameras the following semester.
