Default [ITEM] Bloodfrenzy



Bloodfrenzy

A bow cursed with the countless souls it has slain, it drives whoever wields it into a mad thirst for blood -- eventually making the wielder care less and less for life itself

REQUIREMENTS:

COST:5700

OLD STATISTICS:

+25 agility
17% lifesteal
+9 damage
Berserk
- gives 100% increased attack speed and 30% bonus movement speed, but takes 30% more damage for 12 seconds
- active, 25 mana cost, 25 second cooldown
- orb effect


NEW STATISTICS:

+30 agility
20% lifesteal
+15 damage
Blood Thirst
- gives 70% increased attack speed and 30% bonus movement speed, but takes 30% more damage for 12 seconds
- active, 50 mana cost, 25 second cooldown
- orb effect


Blood Thirst:

- every hero killed by the bearer of Bloodfrenzy adds a Bloodfrenzy counter
- each counter adds +10 damage, +5% additional attack speed, 1% lifesteal, and +1% additional movement speed to whenever Blood Thirst is activated, manacost is also increased by 5 per counter
- however each additional counter makes the wielder receive 5% additional damage when Blood Thirst is activated
- whenever the bearer of Bloodfrenzy dies, half of the Bloodfrenzy counters are lost, rounded down

Example: If say Balanar has 4 Bloodfrenzy counters, whenever he activates Blood Thirst, he gains +90% attack speed, +20 damage, and +34% increased movement speed, but receives 50% additional damage.

- buffed damage gained per charge by 10, to offset concerns about becoming squishier

On topic: why the effect decreases from 100% to 70%? because of passive 30% from agi?

Correct. Perhaps giving it the initial +100% and the 30 from agi would be quite unreasonable.

Good concept. What about increase the mana cost to active Blood Thirst for each Bloodfrenzy counter making it more balanced.

- The mana cost increase +5/+10 for each Bloodfrenzy counter.

Only one counter is lost? Like: Balanar has 4 counters, he died and respawned with 3 counters? Well, think about a 2x2/3x3 match with great players(MYM Rank), if one of them detach in the match and become a "Rambo" kiling like a bi**h. When it dies it'll lost only one counter if not used? I think you can put like when it dies it'll lost half of counters. It's only a suggestion.

Makes sense, if you look at it.

Ever since the change to Mljonir, there's only 1 use for eaglehorn, where as the other 2 "big stat" items (reaver and mystic) each have 2.

All his items also use a good but "low tier" item that could really use an upgraded version since they tend to fall behind and you don't want to SELL something that cost that much but at the same time, you could easily get a better item.

Yes, i know it makes sense but i think you should always try new things, not stick on an idea like maaaad....


On topic: I dont like the item because of following reason: Its another lifesteal-item there are already 3 (4 if you count dominator) lifestealers, and i think thats enough to provide enough choice to the players. i know its only a MOM upgrade but i think it isn't needed. Cause of the buff to 25% Lifesteal most agis/semi carries would rather get this before Satan...

Trust me, I will explore a lot of new things once I decide to

25% Lifesteal you say, from where?

This item has its own merits too because:
1) This MoM upgrade can be used as an alternative build-up to Satanic
*both build ups are nice and Agi-focused, whereas Satanic is a 3200 gold item that only adds Strength
*makes MoM more viable instead of HoD on Agi heroes and perhaps even Strength Heroes
*Agi heroes are squishy and probably benefit less from the huge lifesteal items. They are blooodthristy killers, and survive by dishing out damage and killing, and not by just standing there lifestealing. This item is better for them because this orb and the item's functionality can be better than Satanic.
