Default Sniper Remake


Sniper is currently a shit hero and stated as noob hero due to his long range, but he gets ganked as easy as fuck (newbies don't have good map awareness).
He can be sucessful but relies on some farm/kills and is nearly useless without some (Void without any farm e.g. has still an 5 seconds AoE pause to delay getting raxed).

My suggestion gives sniper some utility (long range scout) and more flexibilty:



Dwarven Sniper
Kardel Sharpeye

Background Story: Kardel Sharpeye is a testament to his name and race. Using only his finely honed skills of marksmanship and his trusty rifle, he systematically destroys his opponents from afar. Taking great care to aim for the most vulnerable of areas, he is capable of severely injuring an opponent, and with a little extra time, has been known to simply dispose of an enemy in a single shot. His rifle is equipped with a secondary barrel, capable of launching a short burst of shrapnel at close range, causing massive damage.

tl;dr changes:
  • increase starting agi by 3 (reduced base damage by 1)
  • 2.5 seconds slow after leaving shrapnel area
  • slightly increased shrapnel area, damage
  • lowered shrapnel manacost at earlier levels
  • combined headshot and take aim with 3 selectable stances (inspired by april fools troll changelog)
  • added new skill: piercing shot
  • reduced assassination manacost
  • assassination damage is now spilled in a small aoe
  • added subskill to scout enemies and shoot without charging (reveal stuff inspired by a suggestion some time ago)
  • * = debatable stuff
  • old numbers

1st of all when you're suggesting any kind of remake, you should always post the original abilities/stats as well so people can compare them.

i like that passive modifications of rifle. as more, that subskill of take aim should be as agha upgrade. nice suggestion overall

I don't think that it's really worth it to get the subskill for 4,2k gold, maybe with some increased numbers overall.
I didn't add a potential upgrade since I don't like the idea of such upgrades on a hero who really needs other item than a Scepter since you get Drums, Yasha and 2 TPs for the gold.

Like the change of the rifle, it can be very interesting.

HE can hit you from the moon in range stance though XD

Take Aim WILL be abused.
His skill and item builds will still be the same. The range stance will be just like the original one. You just made his shrapnel more useless early game by making the mana cost 120 at all levels.
