how to play dota2 in lan?

is it possible to do it? if yes then can i know how? +.+ would be great to play with friends lan games ( if they can play witouth steam only LAN)

Without steam? Not a chance with any legit version.

And no, LAN is not implemented at the moment. Otherwise some random guy could emulate it and allow people to play it without steam and without betakeys (much like the relation with garena and battle.net), so that would be a nasty problem as long as the betakeys are a limited resource.

Currently, there is no support for Lan games. But who knows, its still beta. International is coming will Valve release DotA 2 Lan support? Who knows, its Valve time.

You can't play LAN at this moment. But you can go create a private lobby, input a password that you and the others would know, and let them filter that password so that they can see and join in your room.

Unofficial way, i don't know, but it's impossible in official ways atm.
